This was acting at its finest, two heavyweights in Larry Hagman and Victoria Principal going toe to toe on Friday nights on CBS. People don't understand how huge this show was back in its heyday. People literally planned out their weeks and Friday nights around Dallas, it was a weekly event like NFL television. I also believe between Pam and JR that JR actually secretly liked and respected Pam because she was the only woman to stand up to him. I felt some heavy vibes of love too, they were both at such odds that they never explored that possibility. You can tell with how steamy it was between them that they went the extra mile. I believe JR did the things he did to get extra attention from Pam. He knew he couldn't have Pam because of his brother, so he picked on her at every turn. It's like how young boys and girls do at school they bully and pick on kids they have a crush on. I always felt like that here. Does anybody else believe the same, or am I crazy? LOL!

I do remember he slapped Sue Ellen once when she insinuated that the baby she was carrying might not be his and how shocking that was back then. If he had slapped Pam back... Well, I think that would've started something with Bobby and Cliff that even his ruthlessness couldn't outdo.

Some one answer me this. When Sue Ellen got off the phone with the doctor in season 2 and told JR she was pregnant, Lucy was walking with a limp after she gave the phone to Sue Ellen. In fact she was limping the entire season almost. Didn't Charlene break her leg or something during that season in some kind of accident off set? It is easily noticeable because she walked with that straight legged limp a long time. I suspect because of the cast. Can someone tell me more about that? I know she talked about it in an interview a long time ago but I don't remember what happened.
