Well, I hate to rain on this parade, but Hagman was a horrible person in real life. He cheated relentlessly on his wife, Maj, & had drug/drinking/orgie parties at his house all the time while his 2 small children were there. Twice his very young daughter was molested by his "friends". So, while I hope he's RIP, I kind of doubt it.

Larry Hagman knew from the very beginning how to play this character, which was basically a background character in the original "Dallas" mini-series. He injected just the perfect amount of humour and malevolence into the role. His skill as an actor made J.R. Ewing someone you couldn't take your eyes off (similar to what Henry Winkler did with The Fonz on "Happy Days").
@ScottALanter3 жыл бұрын
His character was only supposed to be a supporting role in the Dallas reboot series, too. But, producers quickly realized it simply wasn't possible to have J.R. as a supporting role. He was front and center in the reboot. Proof of that was how long the reboot lasted after he passed which wasn't very long. Larry Hagman loved playing J.R. And, his performance was proof of that. Pure brilliance and incredibly convincing in front of the camera.
