I feel that a huge point of contention will develop between the stars eventually because Luka is a shoot first gaurd. Klay needs rythm. Luke needs to learn when to eat and allow the offense to come to him. Klay and Kyrie already draw the defense enough for Luka to get good shots up. Hero ball will destroy them if they don't learn quickly. Great play by the rockets.

LUKA WAS NOT THE PRIMARY PROBLEM HERE. He was a factor, but definitely not the main issue. Anyone saying otherwise is casual as hell. Yes, Luka has had three poor games in a row wherein he’s had less assists than normal, his shooting has been cold the first three quarters, and he keeps arguing with the refs instead of hooping. Thats his bad. These are facts and he needs to work on that shit. However, this game lived and died on the glass. Our centers whom we love so much were nonexistent this game. We were killed - DESTROYED - on rebounds. On top of that, our defense was pretty trash, too, with the surprising exception of Luka and Naji. Kyrie is MVP, and kept us in the game until Luka could what up in the fourth and bring the game to five points, but still… an overall awful game to watch. Awful rotations, awful attitude, awful defense. Worst of all, the WORST refs I have seen in a long time.

Horrible game by the Mavs, felt like Doncic selfishly looked to get his shot going at the start, neglecting everything else. His start of the season has been subpar. Nothing that cannot be fixed, but better not getting into the habit of losing to teams that are behind in the development curve. Need to put them away early, then rest starters and give benchies playing time in garbage minutes. Easier said than done. Houston came with energy.
