Amazing architecture. This host has a great delivery. He has a charisma reminiscent of a Walt Disney or someone from earlier programs. It's refreshing, especially in these days and times.

Ma Sato I had a friend who stayed six months out of the year for free in a multi-million-dollar mansion because the homeowner was gone half the year promoting his business. My friend just pretty much made it looked lived in make sure the six multi-million-dollar cars weren't stolen and kept up the yard work and stuff like that. Pretty funny.

It will most likely stay empty, except for a few weeks vacation.... wealthy people buy this kind of homes to speculate with real estate... that's the case where I live, 5 - $50 million houses along the water, 90% of them are empty when I sail near the coast, I only see gardeners or security.

A spiral staircase into the wine cellar? That makes sense. Wine is a special treat, so it makes sense to make a mini adventure out of getting it, considering it's light and easy to bring back up. Now if I had to go down that staircase to grab a bunch of folding chairs or do the laundry, that would suck.

Nilu Roy I agree but now they have blinds that come down from the ceiling that are nearly see through yet offer privacy. Like the car shades where it's what a white on one side and black on the other people looking into the home won't be able to see you but you can still see out. These blinds aren't cheap because they're the length of the wall.

Looks very nice, but now that I live in an apartment where nearly half of the walls are glass, I understand it's not that easy ! View is a dream (at least when weather conditions are not too ugly), but heating and cooling is a pain ! You need to be able to hide all this glass from the sun at times, that's east. south and western sides, and maintaining a constant temperature is a permanent struggle.

The next to stream thing and the nature, the creek is what first strikes me and hold my eyes, on the house. The pond and the waterfall makes me melt! I dream of a house next to such a kind of nature. The natural light in the house is another plus. Oclahoma stone is beautiful and i like the fair collor, but i wouldn't mix stone and glass because it makes me feel cold. I like the 23 f windows but ... how do we clean them? What i don't like is the size too big without reason just for vanity and the lines with the glass and steel (i mean the metallic parts) gives somekind of industrial line, that cut it out of the nature and make it cold. When the nature is so magnificent around i want the house to please the nature. I want the trees to love watching the building consider it a part of the landscape. I don't think they love this... Its only one way perspective. What we get from them. We must care of what we give to them too.

1:20. Um, you DID say 23 foot windows from floor to ceiling, correct ? Well, I have to admit at 1:20 they look superb but a negative is that these beautiful windows could only really exist on a home that is in a temperate and warm/hot temperatures. The amount of heat that would have to be forced into a room with 23 feet windows, let alone glass windows, would/could either made this home or break it - glass certainly is not a great insulation material, so to ensure that this space is heated and warmed all day throughout some months , would cost a small fortune in heating bills alone, am I correct ? I do love how the outdoors, how nature is really the canvas , the work of art around your home, that concept is awesome.

Me thinks that heating bills are not a big concern to the owner of this home.

It's just as expensive to cool the place in hot weather.... you need 24/7 air conditionning !!! Texas...
@roryhassett95816 жыл бұрын
I'm sure that was all taken into consideration during the building of the home, therefore I would expect the windows all to be triple glazedwww.residentialarchitect.com/technology/products/the-latest-highly-insulating-windows-are-almost-as-efficient-as-a-wall_o

glass is somewhat necessary when you're talking bout a house this big, if you had the lights on instead of the natural light, your electricity bill would be insane. besides, a glass house just looks 10 times more luxurious

What the house is missing is a defence system, for when the starving masses come after the wine cellar and anything else left to eat. One literal critique is the use of stone for floors and landscaping walls etc., outside. Some 80 yr. old fossil will slip and get killed, rather than just bruised, if all that outside work that people contact was wood and not stone. Falling down stone steps hurts. Also, when the Great Texas drought comes, this house will get a little musty.
