I'm glad he found a home in music somewhere after Default went on a hiatus, I love them back in the early 2000's. His voice fits in well in country.

Great rock song. I hate to say that because this is really good but it is one thing to have country/rock and it is entirely different to take these songs that have absolutely no country sound at all and call them country. That is the very reason I stopped listening to country radio here in the states. If I want to hear rock I will go to rock stations to hear it but when I am on country radio I expect to hear music that at least can be categorized fairly as country music. It's teenagers faults.

Curious...What genre is this then, in your opinion? It is played on all the country stations out here, and his twang definately gives ME the feeling of country but I am always interested on how people hear and interpret music differently... And whatever the genre, this song is great. :)

Unfortunately, I agree. This man's voice is amazing, but it is much more distinguished and unique in the Default songs. Live a Lie, Deny, Way We Were, Taking My Life Away, and a load of other songs - his voice is incredible. It's almost difficult to tell this is him singing, not just another country guy.

@crimsontears91302 That "twanging noise" is the defining sound of country. I don't think you should let it distract you from the superb lyrical content and vocal quality of this song. I honestly haven't heard much of Default's stuff, and what I have heard, I'm not too fond of. Country is the only music for me. It's honest, it's literal, and it can rock as hard as any other genre. Less ego attached too.
