This is where I work now in the North Gild tower next to the DoubleTree hotel. Our previous management companies for the towers have held meeting up on the top floor of the hotel where you get great views of both towers. I have pictures of what it used to look like from 1999 to late 2022 when new ownership decided to redo the towers now sporting new black glass entrances only on hotel side entrances. I also seen where they used our loft for lunch scenes but unfortunately I got here in 2012 so I only have what was here from 2012 until now. I love this videos you guys have put together, I learned more stuff from them! Great job!!

Amazing video. Thanks for all the research. When it gets warmer, we plan to visit Cliff Barnes gravesite. We only live 40 minutes away. He would visit yard sales around here in the off-season as he was quite a collector. He was from Clinton , Indiana. He is buried in a very remote country cemetery just north of Clinton.

This series has been very enjoyable. The Robocop and Collin Creek Mall series as well. I grew up going to that mall as well as Prestonwood Mall. Sad to see them go, but nice to know people have their own memories of these places and shows. Keep it going!

I grew up just around the corner from Campbell Centre!! From the time I was born until I was 12 (November, 1986 through December, 1998), I lived at The Village' Corners East with my mom, aunt, and grandma! :-) :-)

@@Our80sLife Oh, sure, my folks used to tell me about it all the time... They would even use *our* complex (and the old Village Country Club) for scene shots, also! Note: when Season 6 was originally filmed, I wouldn't have been born for another four years lol... But, yeah; once, when I was 10 and *still living* in The Corners East, we were watching a rerun from this season, and I went "NO WAY! That's literally in our backyard! COOL!" 😛

Very interesting. Do you by chance know where the exterior shots of Cliff & Afton's condo that they moved into this season were filmed? I get the feeling it's the same subdivision that was used for the exteriors of Jenna & Charlie's townhouse the following season but I can't be sure.

Thanks for watching, and that's a great question! Unfortunately we haven't been able to figure out where Cliff's condo was located, despite LOTS of searching. We always see that opening shot with the little pond, and there's a good chance it was in that same area near Jenna's townhouse as you mentioned. That particular area is a huge neighborhood with over a dozen different complexes, called The Village. It was a very popular place for singles to live back in the 70s and 80s in Dallas. We also found Sly's apartment nearby! But The Village area has undergone extensive renovations during which some of the complexes were completely removed and new ones were built. Our best guess is that it may have been among the condos that were torn down and replaced.

Hi Mary, thanks for watching our video! We've noticed through our research that the producers of Dallas often used shots of exterior buildings that are different from the interior locations, and that's probably the case here. The establishing exterior shot definitely shows DFW airport, but the interior may very well be Love Field (or it could be a set in California.) They were even known to use LAX for interiors at times! You’re halfway done with the original Dallas seasons, which filmed less and less in Texas as the series went on....to the point that they stopped filming in Texas altogether. Are you guys planning to make these for the TNT version of Dallas, which filmed exclusively in Texas?

Thanks for stopping by our channel Christopher! This project has been a labor of love! We’re researching filming locations as we binge-watch the series, and we’re currently on season 7. Since our channel is focused on 80’s pop culture, we’ll probably just complete the filming locations videos for the original 80’s series, but we’re definitely looking forward to watching the newer series. I’ve heard it’s fabulous!
