I CAN'T BELIEVE SOUTHFORK REALLY EXISTS! I can't believe so many of these locations are still there at all! You don't think about that stuff when you're a kid. But I guess by the time I grew up, in the back of my mind, I assumed it was all some kind of fake set. I didn't realize how much I've become accustomed to everything being CGI / green screens. Everything about this was amazing!

Sweet! Dallas is a big city, so you'll need to prioritize which places you want to see most. We actually live in Kansas now, but we're originally from Dallas. We make these videos whenever we vacation in the Dallas area. Insider tip: Our absolute favorite place to visit is actually Fort Worth! The Stockyards are an excellent place to stay (if you have time) and we highly recommend at least one or two nights there if your schedule allows. If your budget allows, there is an AMAZING hotel called The Drover. We stayed there last year for Keith's 50th birthday and had the best time! Oh, goodness that white house! So many memories! I'm not even sure if I was still watching this season. I don't remember the details. But wow, Dallas was definitely a part of my growing up years. I can hear the theme song in my head right now! Longhorns - Weird story. Some friends of mine had a set of longhorn... uh, horns. They were in the family somehow or other. They were mounted over the doorway. Quite the conversation starter in Chicago, LOL! I was stunned at how HUGE (and heavy) they are. I'm a weirdo who thinks cows of any kind are adorable. I wanted one for a pet when I was a child. (Parents said NO.) I can't imagine coming face to face with the animal. They're scary big!
