Having lived in Dallas my whole life, I know exactly where you were driving. Those were definitely low income housing areas. Seeing a car wreck just there out of the blue, very very common. Yup, I know exactly where you were driving, those speed bumps shock everyone driving down the road. Free tip, if you see a car with its lights out at night driving along the road opposite you in the hood, don't blink your lights to warn them their headlights are off. That is a gang initiation, and the first car to blink their lights at them they will follow, beat you down and may even kill you as part of their gang initiation. Just a free tip from someone who grew up in Dallas, TX.

Beautiful part is every city got it’s on lingo and style but we all have the same urban culture.... sippin drank, candy paint, swangs, braids and fades, and having a playas demeanor, a pimps lingo and Mexicans hustle especially seeing that blacks and Mexicans fw with each other hard out here. @Jimmy Garza it's not the same, there's a difference between South Dallas/Oak Cliff and Kensington Philly or Northeast Detroit or 5th ward New orleans or many areas in Baton Rouge. The plus side of 3rd ward is Texas Southern University and University of Houston. There's also a section with nice, older 2 story brick homes. The Jews built the nice homes back when the whites wouldn't let them live in River Oaks. After the Jews moved to Meyerland, the Blacks migrated and took over 3rd ward. Some of those older brick homes are still nice and well kept. As we see, the other part of 3rd ward is as pictured.
