Edward Pawlik received a new heart after being diagnosed with a rare heart disease. Part of the program at Baylor University Medical Center is to go back and see the old heart and what the disease did to it.

@@bibbiana4Lyfe you dont have to be obese, some sort of products with high cholesterol might do that to a healthy person, it means you should consider your diet not only by your wight, but what you eat exactly, my father is healthier than me honestly, he spent 25 years in army, 2 sports day in a week, not obese, well muscle structure, and still got his blood vessels around the heart thickened by the cholestorol basically a fat in the vessel, we were shocked but that what it is, and mostly it depends on your DNA inheritance, some people have predisposition to these kind of things, like never smoked, no alcohol, totally healthy lifestyle and still got some problems with their organs or health basically, and some can drink and smoke from the childood and live long happy life) But trust me, if those who have predisposition to illness, in case of bad lifestyle they die too early, so its in your best interest to live healthy life, so your kids or heirs will have better DNA and better inheritance. And yes, today's poducts quality leaves much to be desired. Almost everything has high consistent of palm oil, which is the biggest reason to have this kind of problems with your organs cover in fat

Happens every second in your life. The outer layer of epidermis (the outer layer of our skin) is made of dead skin cells. And 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells shed every minute. Another example of seeing part of you dead is seeing your nail. Just like what @Akmal Fahrezzy said

@Alviniscute. He is not talking about this patient. Amyloidosis is a condition that is caused by build up of protein in tissues, which makes them rigid. It is not influenced by lifestyle. On the other hand, heart failure caused by chronic arterial hypertension is. That is why seeing fatty tissue surouding your heart can by wake up call for some to change their lifestyle.

If you want to get technical about it no cell in the heart existed over 10 years ago. The body is an ever replicating machine that slowly replaces itself. You aren't the same you from a couple years ago. Even if the same cells stay alive like in the brain, the molecules that make up the cell are simply recycled as well. Only a few structures in your body remain unreplaced over the course of a lifetime. What really makes you is your memories, personality, and self awareness. Basically consciousness/soul.
