Purple Power is a great product. I use it for many cleaning jobs. Use according to directions. I'm not a fan of snake oils, just that this stuff works.

According the the respective MSDS, Super Degreaser is 12.5-13.5 ph and Purple Power is 11.2

Pretty clean tire for one that hasn't been cleaned in a year. I'll give it a try, though.

Quedog KU alum... “TUF shine tire brush”, you can get it on amazon, and i’m sure other sites if you search on google. The brush really makez a difference

I don't know about you guys, but when I either use purple power diluted 4:1, full strength, or super clean diluted 4:1, I still have a considerable amount of browning left on the tires. I don't know if I'm not agitating aggressively enough or if its something else, but that's just my experience. The only thing for me that gets tires completely black is full strength super clean. Yall tell me what you think

AlonSOAMAZING I also thought purple power was the generic version of Castrol Super Clean BC they are so similar. I know for twice as much I’ve never seen a difference using Super Clean. Makes me nervous on alum wheels BC if it dries in the sun before you rinse it and wipe it off it will oxidize aluminum pretty bad in no time

Yeah it is an alkaline cleaner at ~12.5 - 13.0PH. Maybe just a tad less of an alkaline than Super Clean which is a solid 13.0.

Hey Scott, have you heard of a company called Car Candy ? They have a non acid wheel cleaner called Chocolate Thunder. I use it when you can't use an acid based cleaner. ( not that often ) It works so well I purchased a 55gl drum of it. . If you haven't used it i'd be happy to send you some to try. I have enough to last me about 5 years lol

they are a company in florida...yes i know of them..they reached out to me a few months ago about testing their products..i haven't had a chance to use the products but i will hopefully try soon...wow 55gallons!

Full strength could be the issue on your wheels. I would mix it 5 parts water to 1 part purple power. IMO

been using it full strength for years now on clear coated alloy and chrome wheels absolutely no issues at all. maintained a great shine on all wheels. the key to using it full strength is to spray and agitate it then rinse all with in 30 to 45 seconds. also never dulled painted wheels. i also use it on my front bumper and grille, same process.

Save yourself a lot of work and product. Spray on and rinse first, then go back for the stubborn places with a brush.

I’m glad he’s not detailing my truck with that crap. It may work okay to clean the wheel but it’ll ruin your very expensive chrome.
