There is a group of divers in Somerset, Ky who dive Lake Cumberland. They have retrieved cars as there are a lot of boat ramps. They have also assisted in saving pontoon boats and houseboats from sinking using air bags. People are always losing stuff off the numerous houseboats around the docks. It’s a deep but beautiful lake.

Nice dive vid! No.1 rule of finding any electronics u/w is, wait till you surface before turning them on. The button seal may give out after a while u/w and will leak and ruin the device. I also see that you missed so much right in front of you while going for the next object. Slow down a bit and you won't miss it all! Congrats on your first boat! Best treasure so to speak so far was a stainless lewmar anchor on a spear trip. Worth like $800. Outside of that I’ve just found lead sinkers and other anchors but have brought some pretty big ones back up.

Probably not the best thing I've found, but the most useful; I got another magnet that someone was trying to use for magnet fishing, I use it very frequently now alongside my own magnet (mainly when dealing with small harder to fit in areas) and it helps a ton. Congratulations on the boat Jake!

Jake, watch Adventures with Purpose. The use sonar like to find missing ppl in cars. They always go over their sonar & show how a new car looks like vs one silted in & easier to see. They’ve recovered a lot of missing ppl using sonar, then diving the car, rigging it & raising it w/ airbags when needed. AWP started a movement traveling all over taking cases & a lot of other dive teams have joined in too.

A life vest worn means nobody mourns. People of all swimming abilities can end up in the water unexpectedly and disappear. Wearing your life vest while on board/near the water is the right thing to do not just for your safety but because you're setting an example for your passengers and others watching too. I free dive for treasure at my local river in BC, Canada. There are a lot of tubers and fishers every summer and I always enjoy collecting fishing hooks, weights and lures that people have lost! A couple years ago I found a phone with a speaker attached! I found the owner and returned it and it was the best feeling ever! I love searching for treasure and your videos have been an inspiration, I hope to one day dive in places around the world! :)

Lake Martin is about 45mins from me. My friends go all the time and some of their family’s have lake houses there.

Cool finds Jake! My best find was while snorkeling in the Frio River a long time ago around 2002 I think. I found a man’s wallet with $990 US dollars and $80 dollars worth of Mexican money in it. There was no ID in it but there was a small picture of a young teenage Hispanic girl, a Mexico phone calling card, and a piece of paper with Mexican phrases translated into English. Nothing else. I think it probably belonged to a Mexican National because of the things inside. I tried several tubing places to see if anyone had lost a wallet but no one had reported it. This money was actually an answer to a prayer I had (long story) and the money was used to help several people in need. It was a blessing and fun as anything to find.

jake, there’s this lake in northern new york state, and it’s so beautiful. you think you know what i’m talking about but you don’t, it’s a paradise. the water is dark blue, yet so crystal clear. there’s this bay called sandy bay and the bottom is just the silkiest and smoothest sand with so much treasure at the bottom. it’s so popular for everyone. the northern part of the lake is called the narrows. the water is so clear there, i saw straight to the bottom 40 feet down. there’s some coves in the lake where the water is just cyan. there’s some sports in the lake where you catch fish like crazy. once i put the line in the water and pulled it out randomly and a fish was on there. trust me

The first/best treasure I ever found was an iPhone 11 Pro. I found it only a couple of months after they released, and I was still using my iPhone 6. As excited as I was to find it, I knew the right thing to do was return it. I found the guy who it belonged to, but he had insurance on it and told me to just keep it. Truly amazing what can happen! Thats my story of the best treasure I’ve found, so far.
