jake! you should come to the new river in southwest virginia. its the only river in the united states that flows the opposite direction. a lot of people go on kayaks through it and tubing and stuff. i think it would be awesome to see what you can find!!

Hi there. While I was watching your video I had an idea that may make retrieving the items your metal detector locates easier. Why don't you get one of those metal kitty litter scoops? This way the sand would go through the scoop leaving the larger, hopefully valuable, items behind in the bowl of the scoop. Just a thought. Wow, you took me back to my childhood. 16 through 21 the Bahama's was my summer home. I crewed on a charter boot of scuba divers. My job was to navigate the boat while diver's were down and make fruit salads. We hired natives to tour and cook, in exchange for different products we took over from Florida. I don't remember his name, but he made the best! Conk Salad I ever ate. I lived on that stuff, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I did get a allergy to lobster, but didn't stop me from eatthe tails. Thanks for sharing your adventures. The Bahamas Rocks in my world. That was 30 years ago

Diamonds that size may have a a way to be identified. Take it to your local jeweler and see if they can figure out where it was sold. You can then probably track down the owner.

While snorkeling it slid right off my finger. It was a black titanium men's band I think. Dark silver or black I don't know. It's all good. She cheated on me and we got divorced in 2012. put your diamond tester on 4, and if it beeps like crazy it means it hits the metal, it is supposed to be 3 medium quick beeps and go to red (if you have it on 4) then it's a diamond :D

Re: diamond tester. The fast beeping trill is what it sounds like when you hit the metal of the ring. A slow distinct BEEP BEEP BEEP is what a diamond sounds like on the tester. The stone must also be at room temperature as cold stones may give false positive signals.
