Hey, DALLMYD crew, I have identified that revolver as a cap gun made by Mondial (model # 1960 most likely). It fired .22 caliber blanks. It is made from cheap cast metal, which is why it broke when you picked it up. Let me know if you need someone semi-local to identify firearms and similar items that you find. I am located across the river in Auburn, AL. I am a fan of you guys for always doing the right thing in your videos.

It appears that you found a Rohm RG10, a .22 caliber pistol. It is a 1960s West German import, made of a material called Zamac, basically a die cast zinc alloy. They would not tolerate being in a river for possibly 50+ years, the reason yours fell apart. New, it probably cost less than $15.00, tax included. Because they were associated with crime, they were banned from import. That is how they came to be manufactured in the USA, in Florida if I recall correctly. I think the USA version also had a different name after coming here, still it was basically the same gun. And the guy in the red shirt nailed it. These guns were so cheap they were considered throw aways and do not let the small caliber fool anyone. The standard military round today is a.223 (5.56mm) , only slightly larger in diameter (granted also a heavier slug with much more power behind it). I have read accounts of people who died after being shot with B.B. guns. Cool find, good video. Keep turning them in when you find, it may make all the difference to a family looking for an answer.

@Being Porter My dad left in like, 2004ish. I'm around Jake's age now. I'm not gunna lie, it's hard. I've been there too. Finding an escape like you do, watching this is a really healthy way to temporarily escape. If you care, my dad and I got over our differences, and are friends again nowadays. Things DO get better! That's a crappy Rohm .22 Short Revolver ($100 new). This is what crackheads use to rob people and work 3 out of 10 times functioning wise. The tape around the handle could mean it was used as a throw away gun but those revolvers so crappy the handle use to fall off and people used tape to hold it together.

That looks like a high-end toy cap gun based on a S&W .22 snubbed nose revolver. EDIT : Looks like a slightly older Mattel brand cap gun, and judging by the small intricate designs somewhat visible on it, and the off white grip, it might be later 90s early 2000s.

I just wanted to tell you and your friends thank you for cleaning up the trash and making it so it’s safer for the aquatic life and the people who frequent these locations. I also wanted to suggest a place near where I live in Fredericksburg Virginia called Lake Anna and the Rappahannock River both are busy places. The river can be a dangerous but I know y’all are very safety conscious and certified to dive. I know that they are full of treasures.
