Its not total garbage but its not terribly far off (was the original really that great?). A few laughs, some good fights... but the villain was comically predictable. Honestly, it's a trope by now. "A seemingly well-mannered gentleman in a bar asking the thugs to respectfully move out so that they can square it out. Thugs are over-the-top dicks while the gent patiently waits for them to give up and offers a last chance to go away. He tells them that this doesn't need to happen. Seeing that the thugs are not going to give up, the gent beats them all, displaying his physical prowess and fighting experience that he tried to hide for so long. Having said that, I do love this trope lmao

@@phxdubr I don't know. If the plot is mostly the same it's not too much of a reimagining. Instead of Road House, make it Space House and set it on a desolate moon with space pirates instead of bikers.

Fight choreography, camera work & editing are on point. No quick cut/ shaky cam BS here. Also, Jake Gylenhaal has enough talent & charisma to pull that off. Overall, looks like a cheesy but entertaining little movie, people just need to get their heads out of their arses and stop acting as if the original was some sort of Shakespear masterpiece or something.

The follow up scene, where he drives them to the hospital, is what makes the film wonderful. Some weird cgi into real fights every so often, but otherwise solid film.

It's midnight 1 am and i've just finished the movie. I wanted to watch this since the trailer was came. I had downloaded the movie a more than a month ago But couldn't watch i was too busy.
