Is This Site Part Of The Centralia Mine Fire?

In this video we head back up to Pennsylvania coal country. We're looking for another underground coal seam fire that is reported to be burning since the early 2000's. Rob Manch of Channel 69 news reported on this fire earlier this year (we crossed paths during the coverage of the Danelo Cavalcante prisoner escape). This is a bit of a mystery fire as nobody knows how it started or if it's connected to the Centralia fire which is only a short distance away to the west. We'll make use of the drone to give you an idea of how close this fire is to Centralia. The Pennsylvania DEP knows about this fire. Right now they're just monitoring it. Could it eventually threaten the village of Raven Run and the larger town of Shenandoah just to the east? Nobody is saying at this point in time. Nice footage of the Rave Run (Girardville) mine fire. Some geologists say that it did originate from Centralia and some say no. It is debatable. I do know that the steam vents off of Big Mine Run Road do not emit carbon monoxide which means the fire is either far away or it is residual heat. I plan on going to the Raven Run fire some day. Is it on private property?

It is not too far from a strip mining operation. It may be owned by that mining company, not sure. There were locals riding ATVs all around so it seems the public has free rein to the property.
