Dr Dalton, thank you so much for this video. I was going on 30 hours without being able to even swallow water. I desperately didn’t want to go to the hospital, but was running out of options. Then I found this video and pulled my stomach down as you showed and I was instantly relieved and able to eat and drink again. God bless you so much!

My chiropractor taught me to drink water and then jump off a step to relieve my small hiatal hernia. I have heard that gurgling sound on the first or second jumps. I hear it less often now after performing the jumps for 5 months. I am going to try this as a self massage. Thank you. My symptoms are LPR reflux. I am using diet and medication to some effect.
@Fetherko Жыл бұрын
An LMT with myofascial training performed this procedure. I could hear the stomach moving. She is performing broader release techniques. I am performing other modalities and getting improvement. Never eat too much at one meal.

@Daltonmyoskeletal An Xray Esophogram then a manometry after the myofascial treatment did not find a hernia. I cannot induce that gurgling sound when hopping. I believe that the technique worked. Thank you so much for the information! My hiatal hernia has hugely affected my quality of life for over fifteen years now. In my part of the world it borders on impossible to get surgical treatment for this regardless of severity. We're instead put on medications such as Pantoprazole permanently and on an ever increasing dosage.

Did you fix it with this technique? I got hiatial hernia this winter and it is such an internal terror.. 😒
@allensmith90622 жыл бұрын
@@laisa. I actually didn't have much luck with this technique. I did, however, stop taking a bunch of antidepressant meds a few months ago which were not working for me. The symptoms almost completely stopped and I rapidly dropped 20 lbs immediately after. I've been on and off those meds most of my life and am wondering if they've been amplifying the problem with the hernia. I do still have to watch what and how much I eat before bed in case of flare ups. I'm curious if you started any new meds this winter. Doctors seem to be completely oblivious to physical side effects :(

I'm 76 and have had food "piling up" (the only way I can describe it) since about 1994, which I really dont feel until it becomes nearly a choking sensation. I've asked many medical people how to handle this and no one has a clue. I cant vomit it up, or wash it down with fluid. in fact it feels much worse if i put even small amounts of fluid over the food that's stuck. I've tried many ways to deal with this and thus far had no success. Each time it happens I have to stop the meal and wait. There's nothing else that fixes it other than time. I just tried a self massage as shown and still can't feel that any food has moved - now stuck for well over an hour. Any ideas would be very appreciated.

Jumping on a trampoline . Search for the video on the channel called “critical bench” about hiatal hernia. The only thing that works for me when I need to deal with this fast. Diaphragmatic breathing works well to keep symptoms to appear in the first place

So is this a quick fix or can this eventually fully fix the issue? Also a GI told me that by doing the pressing technique it can make the hernia even bigger cause the hole could stretch. Is that true? I mean I know doctors never support doing your own healing but its worth asking. Also how many times should this be done? If successful, how do we get the stomach to stay down? If it keeps riding back up isn't that called a sliding hernia then? Can this technique actually cause a sliding hernia? 100 questions, I know but I think I'm not the only one interested. Thanks.

Yes, my clients come in once a week and I will spend half a session doing diaphragm, rib and hernia work. Sliding hernias are actually the easiest type to correct but the client/patient must be given home retraining exercises so they can help pull it down until the hiatus heals.
