I grew up in central Sodak and fished the fastwater @ the Oahe and Big Bend dams alot. Ive always had good luck with throwing floating rapalas downstream and reeling them up slowly along the rocks about 3-5 feet from shore.

Although the slow roll on the bottom is a good idea i think with the amount of snags he's getting that might not work. When i go to the Mississippi River if i slow roll the bottom it's with a floating jig head on. Tied to a bell sinker with about 18in. Fluorocarbon leader. Good luck keep the videos coming!
