I have been there too when i visited NY & PA. The funny thing is i bought 1 year lic for finishing in PA and when to the dam in mary thinking it was still PA and i was glad that the game warden was not there that day.

What a great fishing trip. Reminds me of catching stripers in the San Joaquin Delta from the bank. I wish we had bank fishing in Spokane. Selective Lure Rules stink. I grew up bottom fishing or fanning rattle traps and broken back rebels and it’s not allowed here.. After watching other American anglers on KZbin Ive become fascinated by fresh water drum. I’d like to catch and eat some drum. I used to live in DC try the James River for big blues from roughly Sturgeon Point upriver to Dutch Gap. Use an ugly stik and an Abu Garcia 6600 reel with braided line blues run thirty to fifty pounds there. Have fun be safe. Tight lines.

In California, it is suggested you not keep any stripers. Just get rid of them lmao I laughed so hard at this. I fish regularly in the Chesapeake

Didn't you know at Conowingo it's gonna be nuts to butt's. You really need a Jon boat with a 10 horsepower with a pitchfork to protect the prop. You will have a much better time. There's Stripers, Catfish and even Smallmouth top water between Robert and Wood islands

Actually, the dam has been filtered pretty well and if you want to fish there..go to the other side and that's where you would catch lots of snakeheads and striper as well…I would never hide place where I normally would go fishing….nature is for everyone and sharing is considered nice. If you're a fisherman! Conowingo Dam 👍
