i read this book and now pleasantly this nice audio. I love Dick Francis books and now Felix. I do have a complaint- I would so love a fuller ending. you know give us some more instead of catching the crooks , the abruptly full stop. thank you.

I heard a readers name given at the beginning, but I really think he sounds like Tony Robinson. Does anyone else hear his voice?

Have just opted for this DF audiobook purely on the basis that it's NOT read by Martin Jarvis. His accents are absolutely awful so please please please more books read by other people- anyone BUT MJ

If you get tired like me and don't want to spend the 10 hours instead want to know who the Leonardo is faster. Then... Keep reading.... Wait. You sure..... Think about it.... Felix is not Dick. This is not the unputdownable comfort reading of his father that always made one feel that the world was essentially good. But ok.

No, he’s Felix. What a nasty comment.
@krhemmer3 жыл бұрын
@@jenniferholden9397 I think it is fair to compare the two especially since Felix has taken on some of his father's characters in new books.

@@jenniferholden9397 Not nasty at all. Very fair, I think. And leaving out a lot of differences, not least the fact that Mrs. Francis (Felix's mom) had a good deal to do with the writing in the first place. The books were exponentially better done by the previous generation but I'm okay with having the series continued.

Not a bad story but definitely NOT of Dick Francis's caliber. How this can be called a 'Dick Francis' story when it is written by his son is beyond me. More than a whiff of false advertising.

Too much about cancer in the beginning. Depressing.

Very realistic. I’ve recently been diagnosed and it was the last thing that I expected. It can happen to anyone.
