Since quite a lot of people seem to still have a wrong idea how stats like crit damage bonus or penetration works, and give false info, I decided to make a video, explaining the damage formula in a simple way, so everyone should be able to understand stat distributions.

I'm Jadezz and I've played Classic 'Ragnarok Online' when I was around 11 or 12. Since then I fell in love with Ragnarok. When the classic ro server I played on I played a lot of different mmo's but always looked for a game like ro. A few years ago when 'Ragnarok Online M - Eternal love' launched (got the info by chance on launch day) I fell in love with the game again, but cause of the bad support and the devs supporting cheaters (selling gm gear to players, 'goblin forest event', etc) I quit. Didn't have fun with any other mmos again I tried. So I followed at the time Ragnarok Origin in hopes there will be an english release. When I got the info last year that Ragnarok X - Next Generation will release in SEA I started to follow it. Since then I played Ragnarok X - next Generation since one of the first CBT's and actively since the taiwanese release. I've mainly played the High-Priest but played other classes too.

Totally I agree with balance the stats, but we have another need to think about:enchantment Just for example: we can get 25% pen on each, and this is not final pen%, this one will be increase depend on your weapon upgrade and pen talisman(if you can get enough haste) So that means if we have more than 4 pen%enchantment. Our pen related damage will become*3 even more. And It is quite hard to balance for magic attack build, because headgear can only choose 14%extra damage bouns. And we can get element from other parts

Let me simple it. You have 10 point how to maximize it with duplicate? If u focus on 2 main stat it should be: 5x5= 25 or 4x6= 24. Share 3 stat it should be: 3x3x4= 36 or 2x3x5=30. So dont focus on 1 or 2 stat. Let balance 3 main stat like: pdmg bonus x crit dmg bonus x element dmg will be better. Whale will focus on another Size dmg to maximum dmg out put.

Pet is also a great way to balance your stat, some builds are even available because of the pets, they are not 100% uptime but they are available when you want to deal max dps (bosses), for grinding/afk you wont need pet anyway

Hi i have Crit dmg 514 % Final p dmg 206% Elem 143% I recently changed my 2x snake card into 2x stone shooter. And i dont see much difference, what do i need to balance out Thanks

I tried on my weapon, using sonic card with 21% CDM give me lower damage than using stone shooter with 16% pdmg bonus. I found than CDM is only giving me 10,5% equivalent pdmg bonus. I think it's because base of CDM is 200% of your normal damage, So it's value always divided by 200% (2).

(1+4) x (1+0.9) x (1+3) x (1+1) = 43.6 i i think not 76 correct me if im wrong its 1.09 not 1.9 right? Crit Card - 5.24 x 1.09 x 4 x 2 = 45.6928 --- again 1.09 not 1.9 P.damge card - 5 x 1.02 x 4 x 2 = 40.8 ---- 1.02 not 2.02 (90% pdamage bonus +12% = 102 so its 1.02 Correct me if im wrong thanks

No. 90% = 90 / 100 = 0.9 1 + 0.9 = 1.9 For the p.damage card you did it correct but forgot the initial 100%: 90% + 12% = 102% = 1.02 1 + 1.02 = 2.02 Since every stat starts at 100%

What I dont get is how you got 300% atk separated from the based attack. I dont have any way to calculate how much patk% I have since theres a lot of multipliers from awakening and the bonus from every 100 dex

There's an easy way to find it out if you have a white pet that adds raw patk. Let's say it adds 60 patk and by activating it you get 180 patk. 180 / 60 = 3. So your patk% is 300%,.

No. ME lvl 10 is 60%. The SE effect makes it 116%

Yes, all stats should be balanced. Though those 1.5 * 1 * 1 formulas are never perfect and only work well for a certain progress (a super whale for example would need far less pen). The most optimal way is to just calculate it yourself.

That depends on your progress, but usually p.damage bonus would be better since it's usually less than pen cause falcon already ignores defense. Though as always stats should be balanced and pen shouldn't be ignored.

question for pvp gx haste katar boss, do poison element diminish when higher in pvp? thinkin of replacing my crit damage bonus to poison element in pvp. current poison is 275%

all stats diminish the higher they are, that's why it's better to balance them. 275% poison is already pretty high, I would rather try to focus on f.pvp damage or f.pdmg for pvp.

So if I have a 100% final damage bonus it is guaranteed to double my attack points/damage? Ex. 20,000 ATK x 100% f.dmg bonus = 20,000 + 20,000 ATK = 40,000 ATK I did not include the target's defence yet.

Yes compared to 0% it would double. If you include the targets fmdmg red your damage would more than double.

Yes ppen doesn't increase crit damage. I would focus crit till you crit 100%, then on holy and f.pdmg.

Ele enhance should be around the same as p.damage. And yes your cd is far too high compared to your p.damage.

Yes, you sadly have to clear all. And yes it's quite hard to clear all. MVP is one of the "easy" ones compared to the other missions.

Yes, stats seem pretty balanced. Str ring would only work if you can reach high str like around 2-2.5k+.

the same way. In the elemental table you can see the counter. If you fight neutral you simply calculate * (100% + poison enhance%). Like let's say you have 150% poison then against neutral: * (100% + 150%). against undead the multiplier is 125% less though so it would be: * (100% + 150% - 125%) or * (-25% + 150%).

no, that part is just badly explained by the devs. Only the elemental counter from the table is halved not your elemental enhancement. For example you have 120% ele enhance and hit earth with fire. Instead of 150% the counter is 125%. The multiplier would be: * (125% + 120%) while on normal mobs: * (150% + 120%)

in pvp it's the same rule. PVE stats are all multiplied, then ^ 0.6. PVP stats are excluded from ^ 0.6. Simply said PVE stats are nerfed a lot so especially with high progress it's extremely hard to beat pvp stats in pvp.

For pvp you can stack pvp stats pretty high, but I wouldn't completely ignore pve stats. Pve stats should still be balanced just pvp stats can be higher.

No. If you have more p.damage while mobs have p.damage reduction it diminishes less. Same rule. The higher a stat the less the effect (diminishing return).
