So you say that when you have ult disadvantage to stack when on reaper. Isn't the only way to win that fight really is to get an early pick? Wouldn't it be the other way around? Any advice appreciated

if the team plan is to kite/disengage, you need to stack. if the team plan is to create chaos/gamble, then flank 100%. In Lucio comps at the pro level disengaging is a legitimate strategy, but in ranked it's essentially impossible

I notice "kiting" is discussed a lot in this video. Could someone summarize what this means in this context?

Evading the enemy (for example when using an ultimate ability or just getting better positioning), playing to live and avoiding damage.

Kiting (in any game) is generally the strategy of moving backwards and giving up space while still shooting the enemy at the same time.
