Just a tip, I have certain hook points on contractor cans. It’s a request if they have to move it they call me or hook a chain on the neon green links. Haven’t had a problem since doing that.

@@samedaydumpster I just welded high rated D rings on the lower rail at each corner of the dumpster, sprayed each corner down there to about 6” from the edge with single stage neon green for easy visibility nothing special.

Had to charge my first damage fee. Homeowner had three strikes. Used a skidsteer. Moved my dumpster, loaded some dirt and dinged the crap out of my door. Before I hooked onto it, immediately put a $500 hold on their card. I have another lady yet to pay for a rental this Friday. She mentioned they are waiting on a loader. I told her we have had issues with machine loading damage and will do a 360 video on drop off. Like you said, we have to feed our families with these things. I don't have 100+ cans. I need everyone out there working for me.

It's one of the most valuable tools we all own in this industry. If you allow customers to beat up and abuse your equipment on every rental, it's going to be tough to turn a profit regardless of who you are.

Another great video! What do you do when customers spill paint and stucco? I had a customer that spilt stucco all over one side of my dumpster and I made him reimburse me for the cost to have it removed. Thanks!

Here's how I look at it. He rented a dumpster to put waste and debris INSIDE the dumpster not all over the side, front and tailgate. I'ts a tool.... a very expensive tool and people should treat it with respect. Paint and stucco all over the outside.... how would he treat you if your threw that all over his work truck? You did the right thing in my opinion.

I have it very clear on my contract you damage you pay for repair and loss of use fee to cover loss revenue and profit .
