Stone restoration removes the dullness associated with high levels of use. It makes your stone flooring look and feel clean as a whistle by removing the scuffs that happen with daily use. This makes your entire room look more well-kept and clean, which in turn, is a major turn-on for buyers.
Subtle signs of good home maintenance are what really keen homebuyers look for. Doing such things as stone restoration shows buyers that you have an eye for detail, and that you have a passion for keeping your home in ship shape. A well maintained home is a home they likely won’t have to do repairs on, which in turn makes your home more buyable.
It’s also worth noting that stone restoration does actually reverse damage done to your floor. While not all damage can be reversed, quality stone restoration can reverse a lot of the damage that stone floors endure over the years. Restoration allows you to get a new polish on your floors, and also can seal the flooring in a way that prevents sand and grime from entering cracks and crevices. Regular restoration means that you very likely will not have to make major repairs to your stone flooring as frequently as others. This also can improve your home value, since the flooring will look much newer than it really is.
It makes cleaning a lot easier. Even if you aren’t moving, stone restoration definitely does have its perks. By sealing out the dust with a good restoration job, cleaning floors becomes an easier task. Dust is easier to sweep away, and mopping becomes an easier task as well. Less trapped grime means that you have to work less in order to get a sparkling clean floor every time.
Natural Stone and Marble are beautiful but vulnerable surfaces. Natural stones are soft and susceptible to stains and damage. If you are looking to get your Natural Stone and Marble to look as good as the day it were installed. Then let Jersey Steamer restore it back to new.
Jersey Steamer can achieve a mirror like appearance on any marble or granite surface. After we have completed the restoration on your floors, the dust has nowhere to adhere, and maintenance time will be reduced to a minimum. If your Marble, granite or stone does not look as good as it did when it was newly installed, then Jersey Steamer can help.

That’s fantastic guys! Truly amazing. I’m a retired floor guy and I’d absolutely love a recommendation for a training organization where I could learn this.

Hi Guys, Its Paul from Australia here , can you help me with some advice. Thank you for the video as most helpful . Can I ask if you can give some details as we are selling our home in which is full of marble and I live in a Country City called Cairns , In which is very difficult to find help . 1. heavy grit pad , any special type we need to try and buy. 2. diamond head polish is this the same as the marble slurry you refer to ? 3. What type of shine would we use ? 4. I see you have redone shine a couple of times , how long do you leave it to dry and what type of shine should I be looking for? 5. Sealing process. how do we do this ? do we use a machine and if so ,What type of of sealer do we ask for ? 6. Ours is a big house and all marble floors so a very big job. The foyer you did what was the time it took from go to finish. I know you business is doing the work , however , being in Cairns Australian that is not possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Paul

I don't even know where to start, the problems in this process are numerous. Firstly, a high speed burnisher is absolutely the wrong piece of equipment to use for your initial cut(1:33). You don't appear to be using water during your first cut, how are you controlling the dust created? Are you even removing enough material to create much dust? You are using diamond impregnated maintenance pads, these pads are not meant to grind out scratches, they are made for ongoing maintenance after resin-bonded or metal-bonded grinding discs are used on a low-speed, high weight machine to resurface the floor. You haven't removed any lips between the tiles, you couldn't possibly with the equipment you are using, this creates a 'broken shine' between tiles(4:11) instead of one continuous reflection across the entire floor. You didn't show your 'sealing' process. Are you using a topical or impregnating sealer? What is coefficient of friction on the floor when you are done? How long would you expect this finish to last? What do you recommend to clean the floor going forward? Stick to carpet and grout, and leave the stone restoration to the experts. Just because a cheap product(diamond impregnated pads) exists, doesn't make you a restoration expert. I've been in this industry for over 20 years. As a true restoration expert, who has worked on all types of projects from mansion restorations to office buildings to Federal projects like Ellis Island, I'm extremely disheartened that this process is what passes for 'restoration.' A true restoration(on a floor that's in this poor condition) begins with an aggressive lip cutter, to remove deep scratches and flatten the entire surface of the floor to a single plane. Then, progressively finer grits are used, as many as five or six grits are needed to return the floor to a rich color and shine. Third, a natural polishing compound is used to close the pores of the stone and create a glass-like reflection. Finally an impregnating sealer is applied to protect the stone from being damaged quickly by spills(marble is very easily damaged by acidic substances such as coffee or alcohol.) To anyone who is looking to have their marble restored, here are some questions to ask your prospective contractor. Are you using 17"-20" diamond impregnated pads? If the answer is yes, find someone else. Ask them how to clean the floor once they are done, if they respond with any answer other than a PH-neutral cleaner, they are not experts, find someone else. Ask them if they use a topical sealer, if the answer is yes, or they aren't sure, find someone else. An expert will be well versed in all aspects of stone restoration, from the differences between different types of marble to what is happening to the stone on a microscopic level. I hope this saves a property owner the disappointment and future headaches that come with hiring anything less than an expert to restore your marble or terrazzo.

Dang this is what I like to see. Someone who really understands what they’re doing. I don’t know a thing about marble restoration but this was fascinating to read. It’s always good to come across such professionalism and pride in work.
