Update: Called HF this morning. They have given me a return number and will send a shipper to pick it up. They ask that I package it up best I can (I did keep all the packaging material). I told them I could get it back on the pallet and have the box and foam back on it. After pickup, I'm to call them and at that point I have the choice to re-order or re-ship. I plan to re-ship (if not available in the store). I do like this cart. My original order was Dec 7. It was delivered on Dec 19th. I expect this to take a couple weeks if not longer, but hey, what else am I going to do right? Hopefully by Feb 7th I'll have a near perfect cart in my shop!

I’m glad they took care of you. First thing I did was inspect the box at HF before they loaded it. It came intact and I love the thing. I came from a crappy cheap craftsman box so this was a hell of an upgrade

Good call on the return. That small dent at the top left was something you could live with but the drawer pull being bent, *plus* the casters not lined up / rolling correctly = return. You paid good money for it, you deserve a box that works.

Yeah, not to mention other hidden damage that may not be evident. Glad they are going to get you a new one. i just picked up my red 56 and top drawers, love this setup!

I just bought one in the store. Don't have a truck, so I had to rent one. Pick up the box... packaging looked ok. Unload it, unwrap it and both back corners were bent. Some dents on the front. I made a video of the damages and took pictures, drove back to the store and shared the news with the manager. Manager told me to bring the box back and they would get me another one. These damages are happening at the manufacture. They then cover up the boxes and ship them and the stores have no idea because the damages were covered up by the box and packaging. My suggestion to anyone buying at the store... remove the cardboard box and inspect it at the store., check for outside damages and then see if the keys work and all the drawers open up. Unfortunately the stores can not inspect everything that comes in a box so it's in your best interest to do that before you drive it home!

I had a similar issue with damage. That’s 100% shipping damage imo. They will swap it out for you. It will take forever. I opted for 20% refund. I argued with them for about two months and they finally gave the discount to me. Your issues are more significant and they should hook you up immediately.

Without thinking twice I would send it back and demand another. I ordered the same box but in grey. I'm crossing my fingers that this doesn't happen to mine. If so I will return the toolbox get my money back. And order one threw snap-on at my work.

Now that I see what it should look like when it arrives (from the online reviews on the Harbor Freight web page), I would not have accepted it. The box looked fine but the pallet was damaged and it was placed on another pallet. That should have been a clue. If it is not pristine when you get it, I would reject the delivery immediately and don't sign!

I would go for a whole new box. You can tell by the way the drawers sit that the whole box is out of whack.

I purchased two Snap on roll carts one an open bottom with 3 drawers 32" wide the other a six drawer 40 inch wide, the 3 drawer packaging had received some minor damage and the shipping company could not have been better, they documented the box damage and let me know that if the product was damaged to contract them and they would take care of it. The 32" 3 drawer cart suffered no damage has no racking, the 40" six drawer cart also is perfect with no racking. Your problem is solely the poor design and poor construction, HOBO Freight has mastered making something look good, they just refuse to go the next step and up the quality because that would raise the price of their boxes considerably.

HOBO Freight tool boxes quite often are racked right out of the shipping crate, I have a Series 2 HOBO Freight 42 inch box with end cabinet and it is racked right out of the box, it is the poor design and construction of these boxes. Racking is why one of the four wheels does not contact the floor on a level floor.

I would file a damage claim and get a new box. That box was dropped and it is now racked. You will have trouble with it from now on because of the damage. The shipping company will have to replace it.

These series 3 boxes are built cheap compared to the 56 in bottom and top I got mine is about 9 years old mine looks stronger sounds stronger it has big 6 in heavy-duty casters when I am cleaning it my bottom drawer. Hasa lot of heavy things in it I stand on it to wipe the top and it doesn't even faze it at all and I weigh 175 plus what's in

Thanks. The new casters came in and it’s improved somewhat. Rolls around nicely but that left front caster is still 1/4 inch off the ground. I will submit this video in the HF review section. It’s a great cart and I love it, I just wish it was perfect.

@@MiddleCreekFarms If you were to place a piece of 1/4" steel between the caster and the box (you may have to use longer bolts than what came with it), that should 'level it up'.

It’s not harbor freight fault. I got to see first hand how these shipping companies handle peoples goods in the shipping process.. it’s not only incredible the product makes its way to peoples homes.. but the fact everything isn’t broken upon arrival is amazing. It all gets beat to absolute piss in the process of delivery. They could care less!

I agree 100%. This was packaged very well. I now believe this was dropped off a truck to cause this much damage. I've had maybe a dozen freight deliveries over the last 2-3 years and there is ALWAYS damage. Mostly heavy implements that are stronger than the pallet so mostly just cosmetic issues but clearly these guys just toss stuff around and don't give a crap. Frustrating to no end.

It was shipped through HubGroup, clearly they didn't care..... can you image this thing falling off a truck and then they try to cover it up by acting like nothing happened. Shame on them, they don't care.
