Thanks to this life altering event in his life, I took the CPR and AED training that was offered in my school district.

Please emphasize the importance of learning CPR from a certified instructor. For instance, AEDS are similar but not the same. It is important to learn the features prior to an emergency. Some AEDS require you to press the shock button. Some AEDS do not, it will shock automatically. Certain AEDS have two sets of pads, one adult set, one pediatric set. Certain AEDS have one set of that fit both. Who checks to make sure the battery and pads are not expired? I have been to way too many facilities where this is the case.
