I know people who winge about what high quality knives cost... Its great to see a video on how hard and time consuming making a high quality work of art is... The time, effort and skill put in to a blade like this is why you pay for what you get... Not only will you get years of use out of a knife like this but its a labour of love and a work of art... My hat is off to you...

This video was an amazing experience , for me this knife was a double edged one, because i was born in Damascus of Syria, and i badly needed to see something positive relating to Damascus..and this video was a reminder of some ancient technique that was invented there. thank you Matti...your love for art, steel and great workmanship was outstanding.

ALL OF THAT to make a knife? holy shit....this is truly art at its highest. The craftsmanship and knowledge required to make something like this has left my jaw opened throughout the whole process. This was like watching a movie, except it was interesting every second.

Breathtakingly Beautiful! The one thing that keeps coming up in my mind is that you were once, in one of your earlier lives, were a master samurai sword maker, one of the very few who knew how to make the highly revered Damascus Steel. You seem to be very humble. I would love to be able to do what you do! The love you have for your pieces is astonishing! Bravo! ENCORE! *Standing Ovation*

I always love how in blacksmithing videos, the what ever they're making looking like crap until about 4/5 of the way though. And then by the end it just looks stunning. Nice work.

Nice to hear that it helps people to appreciate the amount of work involved. That is one of the main reasons I made these videos. With bigger equipment one could make billets large enough to make several blades. The size of mine can handle a two puukko blade billet at max.
