Those stitches you're making when looping...that is called a chain stitch in crochet. Use a very large crochet hook instead of a needle to pull the loops....in my case that would mean less blood involved!!!...lol LOVE this dress. I plan on making one to take on our cruise in July. Thanks for the video. Awesome job!!!!!

Great video, thanks!! Question: What determines the angle when cutting the 10-inch armhole? I mean, where do you start marking at 4:19? It's not just anywhere is it?

DamaV425 How many yards did you use? :) How much fabric would you suggest if you require it to be a bit longer/floor length?

Love this. Will be making it for my kiddo, and maybe for myself! For what it's worth, the "braid" you're doing is actually not a braid. It's a crochet chain!
@DamaV4259 жыл бұрын
Melissa B Koska Thanks, I had no idea. You learn something everyday :) hope it turns out great :)

really cute, but were the edges of the arm holes and hem finished?
@charlottemund6849 жыл бұрын
So she makes a "loop braid", which is a crochet lin, and I'm like " if you had a crochet hook that'd make that easier." Then she pulls out a "hook thing." To pull it through the dress.... I face palmed. Besides that, I like the dress

Omg I love this!!! Will be making this very soon. Quick question would 2 yds of fabric be enough? I am only 5'2" :)
@vondellacrawford14059 жыл бұрын
I love your videos, but I'm a begginer sewer. Now you said that fold the fabric long. I did that but my fabric is about 75 inches long. And the width is 31. Please help me I don't know what to do. My armhole came out to be 12 inches, I add the 2 inches for hemming.
@ValyTraveler8 жыл бұрын
love the fabric and dress - thanks for making this so easy... You however are very funny... The "hook" thing is a crochet hook and you could have used that to make your braid instead of the pin... Thanks for the idea and laugh...
@NobodyGho6 жыл бұрын
I'm definitely going to try this :) What type of fabric did you use though? I noticed you didn't stitch the raw edges by the arm section. Is it because the material you used doesn't flare?
