I remember being 15 in high school watching Dame's Breakfast Club interview. It was my first introduction to this man and everything he said resonated with me then and still does today at 26. His words inspired a generation and helps the black renaissance it's ppl like him the masses forget about. Dame is a gem we need to appreciate him while he is still with us, thank you for everything you stand for OG I'm forever grateful to you.

I like Dame and I hope that he wins, but that Breakfast Club interview was shameful. He encouraged everyone to be self-employed which is okay for some, but he shamed the working class. Only the uneducated people think that sounds enlightening. In the real world of corporate finance, you have people that serve on boards that get paid major salaries, and some of these people are business owners as well. Even Michelle Obama sat on a board making 300k. Dame has the street smarts, and ability, but that can only take you so far; at some point you need to have a formal education, or the money to hire those with the formal education to advise. Jay is not as smart as they claim he is, he just have good advisors.

Oh the things you could have created if you left your ego at home. Why act surprised ... you know Jay isn't the only person who outgrew or seen your (self-created) ceiling so why act defensive and point fingers at Steve when you can make changes internally to improve on being a better human overall.

Can't forget about that basic ssa Cologne he tried to push years later. You can buy it for 40 at any middle-of-the-mall perfumery.😅

@@LinwoodPowell oh word he had a cologne ? I didn’t even know that .. ironically enough Beyoncé doesn’t fair super well with her products either her perfume or adidas clothing line . Jay z should pick up where Russell Simmons left off and do a credit card like for low income or new Cc users , or he should start a tax program or something in tech

Listen, with all due respect. This is a violation of trust! I’ve seen many interviews from JayZ and he’s never negatively spoken ill about this guy. He moved on respectfully. Even from Dame’s own omission Jay had a sit down with him during or before the breakup about being looked at as a business man. In my opinion, Jay Z envisioned his career path as a vessel, where only he wanted to be in position to Guide his ship. Period. Respect it. But all this throwing everybody under the bus, about who did what, and when years ago would never bridge relationships. I have friends that I’ve chosen to move forward from. As friends, any information that I had about these friends will stay with me. You gotta be a person of honor. This shit isn’t honor. “Pride comes before the fall”

People like Dame will never take accountability for their actions. They blame everyone else. He’s bitter and hates that Steve Stoute and HOV are still extremely successful.

Stout was asked a question and answered it and moved on. Dame made a whole show about it and on podcasts yapping about it. All of Dames most viewed content is him talking about other men he has relationships with over 20 years ago. Nobody ever talks about him. All Jay ever said critical of dame was "too much flossing, too much Sam Roestien, niggas wasn't playing they day role, so we had to split like Ben and J-Lo". Everything else he just says they grew apart. Everybody gives credit to Dame for being smart but his ego and childish behavior is what gets in the way. He's more of a hustler than a business man. That's why he seems to fail sustaining a successful venture. He has the hustle to get something off the ground but not the business acumen to maximize and sustain. Success in big business can't be attained with street hustler principles alone. I think people love Dame because he attempts to dumb down big business to street hustler shit. All the artist and execs that passed Dame graduated from the street hustler methods to the corporate methods. At some point you have to grow up. Being a boss is not just flipping and selling work, being outside, and always putting your money back out into a business. That's just being a hustler.
