He is not obligated to prove to anyone that he is not "broke", nor does he owe anyone pictures of his Malibu home and new place in Beverly Hills and his headquarters in Hollywood. No one has the right to police and dictate the limits of your self-esteem to you. There are a great many reasons why I may be offended when you state simple facts about what you have accomplished, even relative to me--that may or may not be your "fault". Thank God for some logical people. Everyone else is blinded by their biased hate for Dame. But if you actually listen to their argument they have yet to say what Dame has done too them it's all about what he hasn't done for them.

Okay I went and saw the entire episode and saw this part again and I see where Damon called Jeremy a boy; but I still maintain that this doesn't make him a bad person or unique in whatever degree to which he is obnoxious. The bottom line is, most people are not primarily rational, most are primarily emotional. Damon is accurate in his identification of Jeremy as a boy in terms of his spiteful, jabbing attitude because he's mad Damon didn't put him on the way he felt Damon should have, and in terms of the fact that he financially supported Jeremy until recently cutting him off. Bobby is the oldest and his younger brother has trumped his status or rank in the family with accomplishments that are more relevant to society and the culture they came up in than his own; Bobby compensates for this sense of being slighted and anywhere from overlooked to emasculated by providing a double-team-against-Damon partner for the youngest brother Jeremy. Essentially Damon is Michael Corleone and Bobby is Fredo. He is more bothered or annoyed by Damon than hurt--the other way around for Jeremy. The uncomfortable fact for Jeremy is that the world we live and relate and prosper in, defines you as someone who is effectively in a child's place or not fully adult until you are financially independent--that is just fact. If you are in your 30's, for example, and still living at home on a parent's dime or anyone else's, in any other context but one where a person we have already decided to dislike before they even talk is talking, we would agree that such a person needs to do whatever to achieve that adult status--and the consequential, commensurate respect. Regardless of how much love someone has for you, or you for them, if you live in their house, there will always be such a thing as over-staying your welcome. The uncomfortable fact for Damon is that people's emotional desires and needs (which they sometimes mistake one for another) these form rules of engagement. He needs to code switch when it comes to the transaction of loving other males particularly, and females he is not particularly attracted to or doesn't know personally; (he seems to have done well loving women romantically) he needs to code switch AWAY from the rules of engagement appropriate to winning a hustle game in a dog-eat-dog context. The uncomfortable fact for Bobby is that he must identify and overcome the basis for his offense that his younger brother Damon employed him, and in so doing, enabled him to fulfill a very important component of his definition of manhood (i.e. provide for his family)--which also happens to be the same definition that most males in the culture they came up in use. All three must forgive each other first, then get clear on their definition of and need for respect individually in their relationship with self, and then they can form agreements on how to pay the respect toll, so to speak, when interacting with each other. Both Bobby and Jeremy need to give up their policing of how highly Damon esteems himself relative to his actual accomplishments; because truth is: what he thinks about himself is none of their business if he is not maliciously imepeding them from possessing the same high esteem for themselves--Damon realizes this as a matter of actual, mathematical, transactional fact; they see it differently, at least unconsciously, because of how they FEEL. Ultimately what I see is three grown men who were loved very much and AFFIRMED by their mother. It looks like after the loss of their mother, they somehow lost the ability to extend what she gave to them or they never had a chance to develop it fully--especially Damon, who may very well be the most tender one there, majorly thanks to the love and softening of now THREE women in his life.

*I didn't finish writing that it looks like Jeremy has a different mother from Damon and Bobby because or just Damon because Damon's mother died when he was like 16.
