That 16 pro max is insane! Higher fps vs a dedicated gaming phone, lower GPU utilization, lower temps etc… very impressed with its performance vs the ROG 8 pro. As usual, pretty disappointed with Samsungs performance. Same chipset as the ROG but almost 30% less fps and higher temps too. Samsung continues to be a great device for pretty much everything besides gaming. Nice video bro!

That's why you should always disable GOS. Disabling in Game Booster just increase thermal thresold by 3-4 degrees before throttling kicks in. You should disable GOS throuh CMD and you get the best performance on Android.

It's 64% because it throttled down, even though 100% usage on android doesn't necessarily mean it's fully used, instead it depends on the current GPU frequency, as android and iOS have different performance monitoring philosophies.

@@respring6095 that is the surface temperature dum dum, not even the battery temperature will be that low in a mobile device with passive cooling, if anything it could meant that the rear of the phone doesn't make good contact with the soc and it doesn't dissipate the heat well. Also thermal throttling can be aggressive and happen before the phone has even reached a high temperature in order to give better sustained performance

Nice mental gymnastics there android fangirl. 16PM uses newer and more improved cooling solutions. That's why it got less heat because it's dissipating the heat throughout the whole phone instead of just from one point. Apple themselves said that in their presentation. Also there are many other videos on youtube where the reviewers point a thermal camera and it shows how how the entire chassis heats up equally. Meanwhile, on android, only one side heats up a lot while other side heats less. Meaning the heat isn't dissipating properly. Quite making up BS in your head. People like you are the reason why the phrase "a little learning is a dangerous thing" exists.

From the vastly improved speakers, to game-changing thermals, to off the scale efficiency, and a massive performance advantage over rivals despite the benchmarks saying otherwise (GPU and multicore CPU). The faster LPDDR5X RAM, significant battery life improvements, many-times better IP68 (deeper), latest wifi and modem along with strong durability (see JerryRig), and great camera software like Photographic Styles and finally 120FPS, this is easy to recommend over the iPhone 15PM and I rarely suggest a yearly upgrade! Saying that, iOS 18 needs an update and the new ultrawide camera needs some fine-tuning. But with Apple Intelligence coming in October we will see Apple’s own AI, unlike Samsung which had nothing and instead paid for Gemini AI. I say it again, the Phone of the year despite no flashy new stuff.

It seems to be more intensive based on the S24U FPS, but it could be that the iPhone and/or Warzone will benefit from updates. The S24U has been well optimised although several videos I have seen suggest Samsung released their September update that throttled performance in favour of battery life, maybe to showcase battery life tests with the iPhone 16. I expect October update will switcheroo back to higher performance. Apple also had issues with iOS 18 and seems to have throttled the iPhone 15PM, but can confirm on iOS 18.1 beta it has returned to normal.

You know that this game is very well optimzed for ios devices, beating a gaming phone doesn't make much sense when a bit of optimization can make or break any game. There are other games better optimized for Android than this. Besides, all the mobile games are using open GL instead of vulkan, we can expect such bad experience until devs adopt vulkan, which cannot be taken care by sheer power from SoCs over the years. Maybe, you should try out many different games than cheery picking only 2-3 games. Edit: I have done my own testing on SD 8 Gen 2 device and the result is surprisingly close to iPhone 16 Pro Max, you could find out the video on my channel.

I think s24 is a balance and better multitasking phone, this is all rounder In all parts. That's why when you will test speed test then s24 ultra open fast all multitasking apps as compare to iPhones. But when you open heavy games then iPhones open more fast then s24 ultra. For ex : S24 ultra = mackbook ( all things great accept gaming) Iphone = gaming laptop .

very misleading comparison only place where qcom loses is efficiency. those who are saying optimization they are sadly wrong its decently optimized for android but the thing is sd8g3 throttles hard after hitting 85°C on gpu hence the drop in fps as you can see it can't ramp up frequency. A more fair comparison would be with a cooler on both devices so they can run at their full potential.

As a Samsung "S" user since S21+ I can say that samsung is not the best option for gaming... this devices had a bad optimization for games, the temperature is not good. Yes, you can play at high graphycs on most of games but the fps will be not stables after at least 10 minutes... always drops each minute. I have the S23U I love this, but well, its not a gaming phone and not for games like warzone.
