So I am in my senior year of a BS in Aerospace Engineering and for our capstone, we are building a table top satellite. I was put on the Power, Propulsion, and Thermal team. Recently, we have had concerns with our power source getting too hot, it's four 18650s. With all my years of watching you tear phones apart, the vapor chamber came to mind as a method to cool the batteries without being too big, after all it is a satellite meant to sit on a table. Now I'm worried that if it doesn't work, it's my blunder but either way, it's cool that the technologies overlap. Smart phones are kind of just satellites not in orbit and with no propulsion or attitude adjustment capabilities.
@ProstarV9 ай бұрын
So good to see how inspiration goes around. I mean who would've thought 5 or 10 years ago that a satellite built by an aerospace engineer got its idea from a smartphone teardown video on KZbin. Also how I can literally interact one on one like this.

I just returned mine after using it for about 3 weeks. The phone worked fine as a regular device. I bought it becasue of the features and headphone jack but there were a few things that led me to return it. First is a very outdated launcher, immersive folders and lack of customization, to the point Icon pack usage was broken. Then came the occasional glitches, which wasn't so bad and could be fixed with software. Finally it was the reputation Asus gave themselves, with taking away the bootloader unlock. They straight up rather refund someone that filed a lawsuit rather than give the users the option to unlock their devices.
