I really admire him for going his own way as in style of music , obviously before I really started listening to his music I did just think of him as Bob Marley's son but he's so talented in his own right and deserves so much recognition for his talent. His mummy isn't humble. And he isn't that privilaged. @BritishJamaican7775 жыл бұрын
@@swahilimandela5610 what's his mother got to do with him? Because his mother is pale skinned, beggers in Jamaica will follow behind you and constantly beg and after a while it begins to annoy you if you cant even walk down the road without someone begging 15-20 times each day. The Bible says it's a sin to beg and those who dont work wont eat. Imagine if 30 people begged her something every time each day, how would she even feed herself? I dont think you understand how Jamaicans think, but the beggars are worse and most Jamaicans think that even the very shoes on your feet you must take them off and give them to someone straightaway if someone asks you for them just because they think you can buy another pair the same day. Some Jamaicans can be very self-absorbed that way. I was at a funeral in Jamaica last month and was wearing goloshes/wellington/water boots and a woman was looking at them and saying 'oh your feet are really small, much smaller than mine' meaning if my feet were the same size as hers or bigger she would have asked me for the boots I had on and be expected to have them straight away otherwise she would have cussed me and called me a 'mean english' to shame me, or 'you live in England, you can always buy another pair' etc. These are the things Jamaicans do to shame and beg and embarrass you when they *think* you have more than them just because you live overseas. They wont do it to the tourists anymore because they know the police will lock them up if a tourist complains about beggars, that's why tourists dont have that happen to them. I have seen the nasty covetous behaviour in Jamaica and it becomes draining after a while, even family members will do it. why do you think most of the younger Marleys dont live there? THAT is why Cindy cussed off the beggar, because if you give to one, they will brag to other beggars and those other beggars will come to beg when they see them running errands too. I have seen beggars only walk up to light-skinned people in Jamaica, because they assume light/pale-skinned people are rich and some are rude enough to even tap their shoulder and they know they cant to that to dark-skinned Jamaicans.

Mr Marley. You are a treasure to the world. I hope for you nothing but greatness. Bless.

Damion grew up in upper class suburbia with Cindy and her first husband, a politician with the Jamaica Labour Party. He did not start performing with Bob's children with Rita, but with his social peers (children of his mother and step father's friends.) Dancehall was the big influence on youngsters of all classes, including the gentry. While there were conscious DJs who advocated morals, Damion started out imitating Shabba Ranks' cocksman genre, and deejayed about his father (Bob) being a Bedroom Bully. When he started to work with Stephen Marley, his lyrics changed and became more socially critical, and Stephen's excellent production helped make him a star.

I've been to Jamaican over 20 times in 20 years and it never gets old. Now you can travel around the whole country via the Knutsford Express Busline. A wonderful air conditioning experience 👌 My favorite four places are MoBay, Ochie, Negril and Kingston.

I remember seeing you as a child from a distance in stony hill when the driver who took me home from school with his kids would stop by to drop documents for Tom Finson.

Any normal person would be offended by some of this guy's questions, I would have been. Respect is what Damien represents in a deeper way than I think most of us will ever understand, and he deserves it 100% standing on his own two feet.

I don't know this Vlad TV guy but damn he really asks the right questions until the end, it's a good question but it's not too cool to put your interviewee on the spot. Respect for Marley fans of all ages and of all Marleys
