I can't let my favorite horror franchise go down like this becaise of Dion, so im gonna do my best to describe the franchiss from memory: Saw is about an engineer named john who gets cancer. He tries to off himself but survives. By surviving he has a new found value for life and is compelled to at first test people around him to see if they have the same value as him, before branching out around the city of LA (neighbors, friends, his doctor, people he knows are POS, etc). He puts people in fatal traps and gives them a chance to escape by making a sacrifice (usually dismembering themselves in some poetic justice way related to their "crime"). John does this up until saw 3 and 4(which occurs at the same time from different perspectives/traps). Saw 5-8 John had hand selected successors to take his place, mostly people whom he deems worthy of valuing life by surviving his traps before. These people all have a more warped perception of John's philosophy and actually go toe to toe against each other at times. Jig saw starring Chris Rock follows a copycat not picked by John. And Saw X is set between 1 and 2. I haven't watched that one yet. IMO saw 2 and 5 are the best films in the franchise, 3 and 5 have the best traps, and the story outside of the traps is dope af. I hope i fixed what Dion tried to ruin 😆 🤣 😂
