In this clip, Damion Hall revealed to Shawn Prez that despite Guy's immense popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s, he nor Aaron touched a million dollars during that time. He talked about the group's accomplishments and posited a theory of what he thinks ultimately led to their demise.

And this is a part of why the music industry no longer exist as it once did, people found out how greedy and shady the industry was and also found out that they could go independant and make just as much if not more than signing with a label, then the technology caught up and allowed us to do things the labels charged an arm and a leg for on our own. Now people don't have to pay $100 an hour and up to record a song, you can record yourself on your laptop or even your phone if you know what you're doing. No one cares about major labels anyone.

GUY... one of the greatest, most promising and most heartbreaking moments in R&B bands. We lost so much music from them. If they could had only worked things out, we would have like 10 albums of great music. The thing about the industry is most often you are HOT for 2-3 years. I was around 18 during this time and Guy definitely was the go to music when you trying to get some and before them was Keith Sweat. Guy took over the clubs, New Jack City came out and Guy was in it which just elevated their status. New Edition was falling off at this time and BBD was about to drop. I moved to Hollywood later and used to see my favorite stars from childhood in the clubs looking like regular Joes.. Its hard AF to come back to the people when you were famous..its almost like a curse
