Minerva's a posh girl from England. In master force (the show she's from) head masters are mecha piloted by children under the supervision of the shows autobots. They're supposed to do rescue operations and keep civilians safe while the autobots are fighting but being kids get into fights themselves.

That's why their own series skew younger/dumber and many western series got outright butchered there, Masterforce was an attempt to make something more appealing to older children and early teenagers.

I love Masterforce and Victory, so seeing some Masterforce representation is always nice. I’m that dumb lore brain that gets tempted to army-build Fortress Maximus’s head because an Autobot army from one single shot at the end of Victory looks just like it though. You're right about the Studio Series version being much better though. Arcee actually got a toy in -2002- CORRECTION: 2004 for Energon. But her very first toy was a recolor of Transmetal Blackarachnia in 2001. Watching you transform "Athena" there reminded me of how Override was based on Minerva in TF Cybertron, yet they made the Japanese version (Nitro Convoy) _male_ for some reason. Then again, Galaxy Force was... something else altogether. And Dark of the Moon Voyager Megatron's weapon CAN stay open. Twist the ladder a little to the right after you push it in.

Bit of a correction there. Override was always meant to be male, but Cartoon Network who were broadcasting Cybertron demanded more female characters so Override got the good ol gender swap treatment.

@@samoli11 I thought that Cartoon Network saying that was before the design phase was finished. Aaron Archer, Hasbro's lead designer, originally created the scenario, plot outlines, and many of the characters for the Unicron Trilogy. Cybertron was always meant to be a sequel to Energon, but Takara allowed the new animation studio to make changes that ultimately led to Galaxy Force being mostly its own thing. Cybertron was an attempt at damage control that actually went a lot better than it could have.

The Dinobots shared SOME engineering with the Limbs of Abominus (although each had a few licks the other group didn't get) but the torsos were entirely different. Hun-gurr is actually a pretty extensive remold of Combiner Wars Silverbolt (Which... good on them for realizing that Silverbolt's alt-mode was limited enough that they could redesign it into a literal goddamned hydra just by taking the plane off the back).
