When he talks about physical abuse I can fully relate. I'm 40 now and let me tell you I have major PTSD due to the abuse I got as a kid. At 7 yrs old, while most kids got spanked with hands or a sandal, I got the vacuum cable or hose. I've been beaten up by uncles and even my grandpa at a young age, i was able to control this pain for so long...but since covid I have been on a rollercoaster ride dealing with these demons and suicide thoughts. Imagine 40 yrs of pain and suffering.

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that Josh. That sounds awful, I hope you know that you are strong and deserving of anything other than what you experienced. If you have friends outside of your family ecosystem, I'd recommend talking to them, if not, I'll be here for you. PLEASE do not feel that you aren't worthy enough of living. The experiences have so much pain attached them but understand you have a purpose. This covid thing has fucked the world up and you're right, the lonliness, the restrictions, the riots, you name it but you will overcome it. My girlfriend went through a traumatic experience at an early age of her life and it manifested in so many different ways until she confronted her issues head on, a year or two after dating I told her to lock herself in a room write down everything that happened to her in notepad, read it, understand it and burn it. There were tears, I've never seen anyone cry so much, there was pain but it was a release. I'm not saying you have to do the same but if you need anyone to talk to, I'm here bro. You were super brave to share that 🙏🙏🙏

I hear your pain, I am in my 40s...the first 18 years of my life I was abused, physically, emotionally and sexually........at 9 years old I was going to hang myself but a neighbor stopped me.......my mother left me for my abuser and my father allowed his GF to abuse me...... it took me years to forgive my mother, but my father, I haven't done that!!! the emotion abuse left me critical of myself and I sabotaged my own happiness, the physical abuse has scarred me for life, so every time I see them, I remember how I got them, the sexual abuse left me feeling like I was only on this earth to pleasure men, that I was not dating material.....It took me forever to trust anyone........

Everything he sings about he's experienced. He's remarkably vulnerable with his music and people connect to him because he's so open. He's also a really private person. If you get more into his music you'll understand more. Great reaction. He personifies all his emotions because that's how he see's them. He's open about his mental health issues. His mom's boyfriend beat Nate so badly she lost custody so that's why he has abandonment issues. This guy was also referenced in "Nate" and "Intro 3". He had a breakdown between Perception and Search.

This is the second video I see from you, the first was the reaction to no name. You have already become one of my favorite reactors! Actually the song before this is Intro 1,but don't worry as it's not important to the story. It's just a question of the video, because some of the things that are in that video you will see later. But we can tell you,as I said it is nothing of importance to the story. This song is the basis of the whole journey During the journey you will see him improve a lot and find his sound completely Remember this song for when you hear Intro 3, especially the third verse and the line "Is that me or the fear talking? I don't know anymore" (You will really hear Fear speak) His mom's boyfriend (One of her boyfriends,Nate said his mom had a lot of weird boyfriends) physically abused him when he was a child. In an old interview Nate talked about it a little and said it was verbal and physical abuse. This person scared him and then beat him.He didn't want to go into too much detail but one thing he said he did was make him sit in a chair for 15 minutes before taking him downstairs and beating him because he wanted to see him scared,so every time he sat down he knew what was coming after fifteen minutes This is the interview where he talked about it kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6Sck594fK-WgsU His mom was addicted to drugs and died from an overdose when he was 18. He talks about it in How could you leave us (get ready to cry) Nate personifies his emotions in other songs as well, and in a couple of songs he personifies fame as well Actually some of the songs of the journey have nothing to do with the story, but it's nice to see all its growth The next song is All i Have! Also, these days Nate has done something and I love to let people know what he did, just to make you understand what kind of person he is and what relationship he has with his fans: A while ago Nate posted a snippet of a song and then deleted it (bad person). In early October he posted another clip of a song (which you can still find on his instagram) and wrote "This is one of those songs that may never see the light of day but I thought had a cool feel to it " Fans showed so much support and kept telling him to make it happen, but nothing was known yet. Shortly after a 15-year-old fan (Mykaila sippel) covered these two Nate snippets and with the support of the fanbase, the video also reached Nate. Mykaila cover inspired Nate to finish the song. He contacted her and used her audio. So he practically did a song with a fan of his (it's not really a song but a demo) If you go to her instagram you will find the cover and her thanks. The song is called Chasing. I just thought you might like to know! I can't wait for the next reaction man!

NF's music is more connected then any other artist I have heard. You mention the personification of Fear in this song and in a later song (Intro 3), he has a conversation with this personified fear to try and sort some of these issues out. He also has other visual symbols in his later music videos to show how he pushed the inner thoughts he has out in to the world and has to push, carry or wear them. A painted or fake smile, Balloons of his fear and doubts he carries with him all the time, the "Real" merch that describes his music and honesty he has in what he makes.

I feel like I wouldn't be alive if I didn't find him right now. I didn't really like rap before I found him because all I saw were these stupid songs repeating gucci gang. Throughout all of his songs, he's never cursed or anything. He's just that pure. Wait till you get to "how could you leave us," that song is pure sadness. The NF army is here, all you gotta do is walk with us now. NF REAL MUSIC❤️

Now if you remember how you felt when NF's music touched you and helped you, imagine 100x more than that... that's Jesus Christ. He is the reason NF is able to reach so many with his music. He listens, he speaks (in a sense, not actual audible voice), and he carries us through our hardest moments - if we ask him to. Best decision I ever made was to give my life to Christ. My depression and anxiety are wiped away each day as I pray and read my Bible. It's amazing... it's hard to explain. Praying you know him someday!! God bless.

You skipped Intro! It's part of The Journey! Fear plays a major role in the Journey of nf. He comes back again... His mom's boyfriend used to physically abuse him. There will be more about him to come in the journey. NF is an amazing artist. His songs intertwine to paint a picture for you. We call this The NF Journey. Put on your seatbelt if you're brave enough to take the ride. From @struglas on KZbin; “The Journey” is a real thing and once on it you cannot really stop. By the end you develop an intense respect and love for what NF makes. But if I close my eyes I see NF leading us along the path by the wrist. Occasionally, it’s almost too much to handle. You want to stop... NF keeps pulling. As you try to get up you stumble... NF keeps pulling. Without shoes and through the worn-out knees of your jeans you notice the scrapes. On the tops of your feet and the caps of your knees. Painful. It’s from the ground. The sea of mud NF has had to trudge through to get where he resides today has become sun-dried and cracked. When you stop to take a breather... NF keeps pulling. If he stops, he’ll quit growing. Never one of the “Options”... You willingly began this journey, so you “Search” for your feet, ignore the dust and blood and stay committed to the path. “Why”? Because you know the pain he’s pulling you through will be worth the next banger you’re about to hear. That’s the pay off. That’s the intense respect. That’s the love. It “Only” takes “Time”... ***NOTE*** Always watch NF videos until the very end, or you may miss something! @@AltSpace intro 3 gives such an insight onto his previous albums but try notepad as it is apart of the Mansion album. How Coud You Leave Us (therapy session album) will give you an insight into his past without having to read a biography. Excited for which ever song you pick next. :))

No one is ever ready for The Journey. Your mind is about to be blown. Your emotions are going to be put through a wringer. When I started The Journey, it was without a doubt the darkest and most beautiful lyrical trip I've ever took.

I've reacted to so many reactors reacting to NF that they needed to stop more than once just so they can understand his lyrics. NF is the only artist that somehow tells a story about the life of someone else because he knows what it feels like to go through pain.
