@MysteriousAvenger I personally think that its intentional. It's a character thing. Elena does it to avoid eye contact with Deamon, because he's got a very "flirty" look. In fact in episode 22 from the first season, Elena actually tells Deamon to stop looking at her with that "flirty" look. Yet again, it's just my opinion. It's probably wrong ;)

damon can be a real dick sometimes but I love how he isn't afraid to hurt Elena's feelings. He would raise hell just to save her life but that makes? him reckless and impulsive. Stefan on the other hand is careful and empathetic (with every decision regarding Elena's life he takes into account her feelings and how it would effect the people she loves). I hope to see some more Delena action :)
