I don’t think Dame is bitter, I think he’s just saying that people don’t know Jay as much as they think they do. I think he’s being honest about his feelings towards the whole situation; none of us know what really happen, and although nothing jay did was a valid enough reason for Solange to lay hands, I think Dame is saying that people underestimate Jay because they view him as this all around “good” guy. Jy moves with strategy, and I think Dame thinks it’s funny how other people don’t see or notice certain things. This is someone whose known Jay way before a lot of people have, and have worked with him, so he’s speaking from personal experience. Dame def. had his own issues, but I think he’s saying that while everyone is calling him the bad guy in most cases, Jay is like a thief in the night; don’t underestimate him ‘cause he’s definitely not innocent.

I think Jay did that to character assinated Dame. Look what Jay did to Beanie Seagel & DMX, they spoke out & next thing you know bad luck shit happened to them. When Jay was president Of Def Jam, he fucked over a lot of artists. I remember Method Man & Redman did a interview and the reporter asked them about Jay running the label & why they last albums weren't promoted under Jay. A lot of the younger cats might not remember the old Rocafella albums, the videos, the movies... they were all full of skits and scenes where Dame and Jay and thier crew would be snappin on each other, straight clownin! That's how me and all my friends have always been, so during that era (circa '98) when Rocafella was starting to bubble, me and my niggas could really relate to these cats.
