I was in high school in downtown inner city Toronto when he played for the raps. we all idolized this guy. Got to meet him at a game. I remember it was raptors vs Washington bullets. My friends dad was the camera guy so we went on the court after the game and I met him and Oliver Miller. He was the nicest dude. I had his shoes too, they were dope asf.

Damon was my guy from the time I was 10 until I graduated. When he came home to PDX that was like Christmas to me. Still have every one of his basketball cards I ever found in a special case. My intro to basketball was through those early Raptors teams and I learned to play basketball by watching Damon. I had his jersey and I hated when he left but hearing his thoughts now of what could have been warms my heart. When I heard Damon Stoudamire was hired to be head coach at Georgia Tech I was stunned that we got such a respected NBA coach to take over the program. I love listening to this man speak because he is real, he is genuine, he knows basketball, he is a teacher, and he has so much to share with young players. I am no expert but I can see when a team is maturing in front of my eyes and that’s what is happening both in the wins and losses. I’m all in with Coach Damon Stoudamire and I enjoyed this show and will definitely be watching your show moving forward.

Bosh was in the 2003 draft...the other player mentioned were drafted from 1995 - 1998 and actually played together. Damon was traded just before Vince Carter came to the Raptors. But Bosh did play with Vince and Andre Bargnani from Italy much later.
