I saw him perform this in Boston. A misleadingly complex song, it combines the vibes of lullaby, mariachi, ballad and alt-folk. Really impressive vocal part. A negative song, or at least a very cynical one, it also possesses the distinct air of hope. It took me a bit to understand even how to listen to it, but it's great, truly a worthy addition to Damon's repertoire. Come back to Beantown soon, Dames, we miss ya.
