Interesting video. Thanks for adding the subtitles. I play with an OX long pimple rubber on my backhand and I was wondering how the same rubber would work with a thick dampening sponge...has anyone tried it? Could it be useful to block short powerful topspin players or would it be better to go for an antispin rubber with a thick dampening sponge?

Thanks. To find what is really better for you, you should try both anti and LPs. And LPs with such a sponge is really slower to same LPs OX. short answer these sponges are designed to go for Anti . They are used in Anti rubbers for DerMaterialSpecialist . I don't know why they experimented with long pips as the anti and LP are two different weapons , the technic to block differs significantly and properties of top sheets are totally different. That being said , one might try and experiment with it for LP however , sponge would take away a lot from disruption affect . The comparison is also weird cause Luka is using ABS 2 from Dr. N and their slow sponges are thick and heavy whereas DMS goes a different route for their sponges and they are a lot lighter and thinner with similar absorption affect.

@@rakishman1313 But I see a lot of people who are buying these sponges to combine with some pips-out. As there are no frictionless anti topsheets available (at least I never heard about it).

@@Sypachevskii yea anti top sheets are not available in ox like in long pips so what people do is they separate top sheet from something like abs 2 and combine it with custom vortex or other type of slow sponge but it is cumbersome and hard to do to say the least

@@rakishman1313 I guess most of them use these sponges for pips-out.Though some of frictionless antis are very easy to put off the topsheet from the sponge, e.g. Dr Neubauer Buffalo, Bison, Rhino and their PLUS versions as well, so these rubbers are very good for these experiments. Играю.long-3.с медленной губкой.обратил внимание.что на губке 0.5 быстро изнашиваются шипы и прибивается губка до доски.на губке 1.1 очень хорошо играть.интересует.насколько долговечная эта губка.с толщиной 1мм.и как пробивается до доски со временем?

Губка на шипах от игры не изнашивается, изнашиваются только сами шипы. А вообще из сильнотянущих шипов есть немало более эффективных (в смысле сложности для соперника).
