Reminds me of a teacher I had in college. He was well past the age he could’ve retired. And one day he spoke about why he hasn’t. And like Dan here he was fighting back tears explaining how important it is to him to give his students the best chance at a successful career for themselves and their families. He was a role model and a teacher for a lot of people. He was answering phone calls from his past students everyday. He had a vast network of former students that if he called they would be there day or night to help him and him the same. It was the only time I’d witnessed that type of thing first hand.
