While that dude was talkin about more business and jobs headin to downtown Detroit, why do the 3 men on stage with him look so pissed off? Shouldn't at least one of em be smilin just a little bit? I mean damn, they look terrible sittin up there lookin like that....I'm happy for Detroit, I hope Cleveland sees this type of thing happen to it sooner rather than later (I lived there for a few years and have friends outta work there), and a big Congrats to Detroit all the way from San Jose, Calif.... GO NINERS

Branon Fontaine I want to see the same thing happen to my home city of Buffalo. We are on an upswing here in Buffalo, but like Detroit we also have a lot of serious urban problems in the poorer neighborhoods. Another problem that both southeastern Michigan and western New York suffer from is the stubborn NIMBYs who oppose any new ideas or new development on the most ridiculous reasoning.

I really hope that this thing works out .Detroit officials are some dangerous people .They are there own version of the mob .I know how calculating and contract cut - throat the people doing business there can be . Just look at how much difficulty is involved with simple home demolitions has gone .And kick backs and a almost non - existent paper trail . People coming in better be careful and watch that back - as far as doing business .

Those guys want it to stay run down and crime ridden. They probably get hefty payoffs to keep people poor, uneducated, and crime ridden.

I live in Kalamazoo and we wish Detroit the best. It’s far better and more entertaining than Chicago. Far more affordable too. Now you hear Chicago on the news falling apart and Detroit having their act together. Crime had went down substantially in Detroit. In short, It’s making its return to the world stronger than ever😉

More whites have moved in for sure. But check out the buses that come into and out of the City. Shows a very diverse downtown work force. Most taking the buses home after work aren't white.

Nope with all the new development, downtown Detroit will be 75% white in the next 6 years!...some black people/leaders in this town just hate the fact that Detroit is on the rebound because of whites. It reminds them of their failures. We are in this fight to bring this city back bro. Be happy Gilbert, Duggan, Ilitch and Penske invested Billions of dollars to make it happen!
@breezwonder6 жыл бұрын
Nearly90% of Roger Penske staff for downtown cleanup is Black, around 50% of Olympia staff is black counting LCA employees, Little Ceasars, Motor city Casino and others. Not to mentioned Mike Ilitch secretly paid Rosa Parks rent and a host of other poor blacks rent throughout the city. Ilitches also fought to have black war veterans/history month recognized at numerous events. Just because they dont publicly display everything doesn't mean they dont do nothing for blacks. Gilbert also has tons of black employees on his staff. But thats all beside the point, Detroit is coming back in a MAJOR way and in the next 7 to 8 years, this city will be a world power!! I heard a preacher prophesy and said Detroit will one day be the wealthiest city in the world! we also have the rap industry on lock right now with Tee Grizzly, Sada Baby, Molly Brazy, Eminem, Big Sean, Rocain and a Titanic load of others plus more who are up and coming.So regardless of anything, i want the D to back and i dont care if its through someone who's Purple!
