With the talent North have , they should, by rights, jump up five or six spots on the ladder next year . If they don't, then they have failed. They don't need to make the finals to prove anything but if they worry the good teams (they did just that this year against last years premier) every now and then, then they are on a healthy trajectory.

@@KiggidydogYep, one of the only half backs in the modern area who genuinely defends as well. Great 1v1 and a great help defender. Another crazy stat he’s been the only half back in the last couple years to be “elite” in contested possessions, uncontested possessions, tackles and metres gained. Considering majority of modern half backs are kings of metres gained and uncontested possessions that is just crazy. Elite in all those categories and trumping even Whitfield etc but Houston is actually a great defender as well.. Top 10 player for sure.

Lewis makes the dumbest comments, that generally make no sense at all....but I think he's just outdone himself........Collingwood cant get Port to agree on their current offer, so Lewis thinks Collingwood can unlock it by offering the same thing, and taking/wanting more than Houston? So in his reasoning, Port would be happier with the deal, if they lost more??

Before you laugh, important for you to understand that collingwood would be giving a future first. Ollie lord isn't that valuable anyway, his form at the back end wasn't good enough to displace a cooked Dixon

@@richard1221, your knowledge of Lord’s unfortunate off season internal injury, followed by a loss of 10 kgs in weight, plus a tibia/knee injury at the start of the 2024 season is obvious. He was always going to struggle after losing so much time and fitness. A good off season should see him cherry ripe for 2025……. he’s very much viewed as Dixons replacement.

Trade Period should go for less than a week or a week at best Two days in a row and nothing has really happened.. The longer it goes on the longer it gives clubs time to beat around the bush with negotiations

How on earth does ollie lord unlock the houston trade? Lol. A player from collingwood TO port would unlock it, not a player from port. Dixons just retired, marshalls 1 concussion away from pasture - the forwardline has just opened up for Lord. Plus, Chris Davies has categorically said Lord is not up for trade and he is crucial for ports plans. Wat a self loathing bald man that doufus Lewis is. I agree but when you have a team like Carlton which are at least a top 4 list and shoul've been top 4 on paper and one of there real list holes is in elite fwd entries and a top tier Halfback, it can propel them to it. As for PIes and the senior pensioners on the list, not a chance, North well...its North

Houston is Port's best player.....carries the ball 460+ metres per game...arguably the best kick in the league...and great overhead...duel all australian; and can play everywhere other than ruck....and Kingy was indicating Carlton & Collingwood would be top 4 if they get him.........Kangas could be the smoky if they threw their pick 2 at it.....future picks are a waste of time, with Tassie coming in.
