I have the 9'1 Gem carbon black. My weight 74kgs.... and it's perfect. Great longboard design. The 3inch centre thickness combined with rolled deck and low rails make it easy to carve on in waist high surf and above. The board weight seems ideal as well. Not too light.Super strong and durable.

Super nice board. Got 2 of them in Timbertech, really love this model. Hope I can try a Red Thunderbolt some day

@@mikebranum4380 nice! I got a Thunderbolt HI4 and I like it a lot too for larger waves. Is the thunderbolt gem heavier than the timbertech?

Deki Smokton Thunder bolt is super light, feels amazing and great for the High performance side of things. , I ride a TT and the Tbolt any they are night and day different but equally good just a different feel.

@@hawaiiansouthshore yea no problem! I don't have the expertise or experience with other boards to give an actual review. But for me as an intermediate I can have a lot of fun with it. It really dependa on the conditions what kind of surfing I'm going to do with this board. Put in a big pivot and you can do some great logging and noseriding. Put in the raylor jensen 2+1 on a "big" day and you'll catch anything. On a smaller day just the single fin from this set all the way to the front of the box let's me do a lot of fun manoeuvres. It really is a one option for everything kind of board.
