As a Bills fan, I feel like for the moment we are the worst of the 4 division leaders in AFC. Maybe we are better than Houston now w Cooper but I'll defer to them since they beat us fair and square (and were missing Nico Collins for most of that game). Our only hope is that we have the Chief's number in the regular season, if we can beat them at home in a couple weeks I think we're right up there but I still see a clear talent gap between us and the Ravens who literally have 2 hall of famers in their backfield it's pretty hard to compete w that.

2:40 YAC how many times did we see Diggs make a catch and immediately dive to the ground? He did that over and over, especially in the regular season.
@myapatterson82282 күн бұрын
He was not good at YAC

Diggs was a YAC monster the first two years but I agree the last two years he was here, he went down a lot and he asked to be subbed out a lot.

I personally disagree. I actually think the Bills are better built to beat KC than a team like the Ravens. If it were me, I’d choose to play KC in the playoffs than the Ravens, despite the history with KC in the playoffs.

They ran more bubble screens which I loved. If you have the blocker's it's a great play coupled with the run game to keep teams off balance.

Amari Cooper dropped the first pass from Josh Allen . . . he must have forgotten it was Josh throwing the ball rather than Watson.

Reminds me of Cooks first carry for the Bills was a fumble. I think they get those kinks out early and get it out the way. Amari Cooper should be amazing for us! Go Bills!

I am surprised by the YAC conversation that it wasn't said that in years past the Bills lived on receivers/ Diggs settling into an open area 8 to 20 yards down field and Josh firing a line drive. These were nearly unstoppable and resulted in relatively quick drives down the field. This not only explains the lack of YAC (its hard to get YAC when the receiver is stopped while facing the line of scrimmage) but also explains the superior 3rd down conversions. This also still works in the red zone. However, people looked at the YAC and thought it was an issue and so there has been a concerted effort to run plays that would get more YAC. They are beautiful when they happen but they take more finesse on the pass and more separation. Which the Bills have been trying to get by wasting a pass catcher that is trying to pick. All these hurt the yards per attempt as well as the 3rd down efficiency. And it especially shows up when there is pressure. Fortunately it hasn't hurt the red zone yet.
@giorgikharchilava72582 күн бұрын
I honestly think the low YAC throws that you're talking about are equally complicated and just don't fit our skill set to this point this season. Diggs was crisp enough of a route runner to run those downfield, long developing routes and Gabe, though not as technically gifted, built up enough rapport w Josh over the years for those throws to work w him (admittedly like once every 5 games but still). None of our current receivers are consistent downfield/intermediate route winners except for Coop, so I think the types of throws you're talking about will ease back into the offence as Cooper settles in and the other receivers improve and grow their chemistry w Josh.
@tommcmasters8429Күн бұрын
@giorgikharchilava7258 I have more confidence in the current receivers than you, but I am pleased with the Cooper addition.

@TylerLutseo-rp9uu2 күн бұрын
They are very beatable. Teams are starting to gather info on their offense with Henry, it’s a lot different than years past. Their defense is more than gettable. The bills played their F game against them and were down a lot of key players. It would be a different game if they played today.

Agree it's hard not to be scared of a Lamar-Henry backfield. In other years I felt like our defence could contain just Lamar or just Henry but together it just seems impossible. The only hope is that Lamar is truly a playoff pumpkin and isn't just suffering from a small sample size

The other thing that will help is eventually some of the Bills players will start to get more PI calls there's been so many missed calls, after a certain point people are going get tired of Bills receivers catching the ball with half their jersey missing, in the last 4 games there has 20+ no calls on holding at minimum or PI starting to look ugly in the league
@randymccloud5743Күн бұрын
Dan is exactly right. The Bills offense is so vanilla. They make it easy to defend. They line up, and run the same plays over, and over. Some different pass concepts would help a lot. With the talent they have, they could run a lot of different looks...but don't. As for 3rd down, if you're going to go run...run...pass...run...run...pass, it makes it pretty easy to defend 3rd down, when your only option is to pass, and the defense knows it.

So a former 3rd string back up QB that constantly gets teased for his boneheaded mistakes on the field knows more then Josh and the bills got u joshes worse game is better then Dan orlovskys best game

After the beatdown that the Ravens gave the Bills, and watching them make decent teams look very bad, there's something that Ravens have that very few teams do. Size! You can't teach it. A punishing defense, and the most punishing run game in the business belongs to the Ravens right now. The Bills have a lot of speed, some of it untapped with the smaller receivers, rb's and st's. I'm really enjoying watching this younger and new talent, along with the emerging receiver core. Going to be a tough road for the Bills to get to an AFC Championship this year. We'll see, and I always hope! The main question is KC against who?

I'm not sold on this version of the Bills just yet. The Titans are a horrible team and outplayed is badly in the first half. If we were playing a top offence we would have been down 28 at the half. We are too small and have no talent at linebacker.

Third Dawn conversions probably has a lot to do with it with the fact that they have. Josh Allen convinced that he shouldn't run on third down so he decides to run when it's too late. That's what I seem to have noticed. That's a shame to coach the Josh Allen right out of Josh Allen. I just I just don't get it
