Scottie intentionally "tried" to change the narrative. Instead of taking responsibility for 1. Signing a bad, long term contract, when Jordan made vastly more money - in NBA salary - by "betting on himself" and signing a series of short term contracts. and 2. Sitting on the bench during the playoffs when the game winning shot was called for Toni Kukoc Scottie Pippen blames racism for his bad decisions.

MJ contract was terrible, until 1996/97, and 1997/98, but he still won 4 MVPs/fmvps with it, and Mj never tried to renegotiate, until he was a free agent. What Mj made himself worth off the court, Pippen had a better opportunity than Mj to do the same, because he had MJ next to him, making him popular, and MJ had no one on the Bulls, or UNC or 1984 Olympics, equal to MJ that Pippen had in popularity.

If you saw the 1991 Finals when Magic was working Jordan, Phil Jackson switched Scottie Pippen on Magic because he was the best overall defender on the team. He contributions was more than stats, he allowed Jordan to gamble on steals by covering for him, not a lot of players would have done that. Phil was worried about Jordan being worn down in the fourth quarter which is why he switched Scottie Pippen on him after the Lakers beat them in game one. That's what good coaches do, make adjustments. Jordan didn't win jack without Scottie Pippen. Prior to Scottie stepping up, Jordan had highights but early exits out of the playoffs. The Bad Boys put the Bulls out three years in a row. In 1991, i saw the sweep coming because the Bulls had a better team than the Pistons.Like i said, you just can't put anyone next to Jordan and be a 50 greatest player, that is Scottie Pippen.Can't for the life of me understand the worshipping of the egomanic Micheal Jordan.

Jordan took his game from David Thompson and Dr J. Before there was a jumpman, there was the Dr and Skywalker. Lebron James has far exceeded expectations coming out of high school, there is no debate on that. There is no GOAT because you can't compare eras, Jordan said it himself . His thought was he never played against Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell or Elgin Baylor so he couldn't compare himself to someone he never played against. There are too many variables that could affect athletic performance (1) Try playing 82 games in Chuck Taylors, PF Flyers, Clyde Pumas, Pro Keds, or Addidas Shells (2) Athletes had to get off season jobs because salaries wern't that high. (3). Possible military obligations: Elgin Baylor and baseball Hall of Famer Willie Mays missed two years of their prime because of it. Rodger Staubach of the Dallas Cowboys was flown in to Dallas from Veitnam during the war for practice. That's just two examples of why you can't compare eras. The Jordan fansboys are just as ridiculous and the Bronsexuals that you speak of. I enjoy the exploits of all great players.
