Le Batard says these little things that could be argued to be innocuous but they don't FEEL innocuous. When he talked about Pat on All the Smoke he mention "the little cowboy hat" and here, he called Pat "the punter" several times. Despite all the posturing and "We love Pat" what could be seen as verbal glad-handing, those quick remarks seem to have a twinge of condescension and are reductionist. And when your ears are up and looking for mother fuckers to say ill shit, you pick up on those frequencies.

I love Pat. I don’t always agree with Pat. I kind of know what his politics are but he has not said them. And if I’m right, I wouldn’t agree with them either. I dislike that he has faith in Rodgers.
