@@user-wd4uf2sm5d my point exactly. I’m not sure I can remember a more meaningless streak than this points/rebound double double streak. Like if AR had only 3 double doubles in 15 games but had 9 of those games where she missed it by a board or rebound, would we still be talking about her? What if she was averaging 2 blks a game w/o but only averaged 7 pts, 11 boards? That’s more impressive than getting low board and point double doubles. For a big that shoots 40% on layups.

It's easier for a 4 or 5 to get a dub/dub than it is for a PG or a 2.
@InfiniteKhaos
@InfiniteKhaos Ай бұрын
@@mj23goat3 IDK about that. Point guards honestly should easily hit 10 assists and 10 points every game. Their job is to find the open person, so the assists should be easy. Sometimes people miss or take too long or pass again, I get that but 10 assists as a pg who's job it is to pass to open looks shouldn't be hard. And the other half is just 5 buckets. Again idk but I feel like a pg getting a 1010 is similar to the bigs getting 10 10 on rebounds. Maybe even easier.
@mj23goat3
@mj23goat3 Ай бұрын
@@InfiniteKhaos If it's so easy then why have only 18 players been at 10 apg or higher in the last decade? That's less than 2 players per season, ffs. And the reason it's more difficult is because a PG's assists are reliant on another player hitting the shot. Once the ball is out of the point guards hands he/she is not in control of the outcome anymore. Whereas when a PF or C grabs a rebound there are no other players involved in that.

I didn't know who A'ja Wilson was or probably 99% of the WNBA players until I started watching Caitlin play. I knew Taurasi and... that may be it. It is a residual effect that the league becomes familiar. I still don't have all of the team "names" learned yet, but slowly I find myself becoming familiar with them. The Mercury, Sun, etc I'm learning - but still with one foot out the door. If the animosity continues and she starts missing out on deserved awards like Olympic teams, ROTY and other things, I'm not up for being watching that kind of abuse and I'll turn it off and go back to my mainstay, the NBA and collegiate men's basketball. And I'll bet there are millions more like myself out there.

It was a really great game, which shocked me too. Game was closer than score showed, Fever was within 3 I think with 40 seconds to go, and then everything went against them. Wings had two great shooting guards that tore everyone up, they were the whole team. Wings have two 6’7” posts, and I was surprised how ineffective they ultimately were. That’s my take. I heard the announcers say they’ve had injury issues most of year, which does make sense. If they didn’t have either of those guards, Odyssey Sims or Ariel Ogunbowale, they have no team. Having said all that, Caitlyn needs to step it up on defense and move without the ball, stop standing around on offense. Then she will be truly greatness.

@@deandreray3500she had a historical night. No they are not regardless of the minutes. If you watched the passes she was making, nobody else in the WNBA can make those passes

@@deandreray3500 Like numerous other great players she averages around 35 minutes per game. She averages 8.2 assists per game which is already a higher average than any other formidable player. But yes, I'm sure that extra 5 minutes would result in any formidable player getting 11 assists over their average (or whatever the points or rebounding equivalent to 11 assists would be for those categories). Great insight.

She put on a show until it mattered most. Then she wet the bed with that pitiful 4th quarter. Makes all them stats meaningless because in crunch time she cost the team the game. Can't out on a show going scoreless for about 7mins:30secs the show she needed to put on was closing the game out and she failed. No one remembers the first 3 quarters man. You wanna truly be great u gotta deliver in the 4th and put the team on your back. So Stat wise wow but the true moments she might as well been a minion she was that small.

There are some great players in the league true that, but there are a lot of incompetent buffoons both players and coaches in the league,
