Thanks a lot, Tim! I'll have to work a little faster than usual. Dan's HST is finished! Including the paint job! :)

All hail the master of scratch building. Those pieces in the pictures are amazing and the way you have them all lined up and put together. Cannot wait to see the further build on this piece I'm waiting to see what Dan's going to put together too!!!

Thanks a lot my dear old friend! I added eight more parts to the .50, but now I'm waiting for ammo belts and a PE set for the HST! Would you believe it? PE!!! Dan's HST is finished and he's waiting for me to upload his final reveal and I haven't done more than what you just saw. I hope I'll get the missing parts soon and can continue. I could assemble the tracks for the Priest in the meantime, hehehe!

Not only that! He's already started a new project and is almost finished with it! The paint job is done and he'll start the weathering process this weekend! I'm assembling the running gear while I'm waiting for the parts I ordered. There's no better name for my channel!!! :)

The Trumpeter kit of the Swedish Stridvagn. Seems to be an older kit with quite a lot of issues. It's an interesting vehicle and looks like a modern version of the StuG, hehehe! Well, not my subject though. :)

Thanks a lot, my dear friend! The next vid will show more and bigger parts, hehehe. I'm enjoying my bench time after this long break. The main disadvantage is, that I don't have internet in my cave. :)

Thanks a lot, Dan! I just watched your video and it left me with a guilty conscience. While you made out all the issues and offered ways to deal with them I just played around with this M2 that consists of four parts (!!!) in the kit! I don't know if like PE better than before, but it can add such great detail, even to such a simple thing as the .50 is - or rather "should be"! :D
@danknispel45886 жыл бұрын
@@non-prolific135thscalemode7 That wasn't my intention, sorry. You did a great job on something I missed all together. I was too busy looking at all the other issues that bothered me and missed that important one..
@non-prolific135thscalemode76 жыл бұрын
Oh, no worries, my friend! I just noticed that the kit's .50 consists of FIVE parts, so I feel much better now! Your works makes life much easier for me. I added your vid to my playlist again, so I can watch it before I tackle a step. That's most helpful. :)

Haha, "Inbag" review! I really don't know how you manage to do such fine work on such a small scale! Those 1cm squares on your cutting mat look positively gigantic compared to the details you scratch built. Awesome work once again, Jens! - Trevor

Thank you so much, Trevor! I actually don't know myself, hehehe! Wait till you see my next review and the third part on this build. It gets worse! :)

Another excellent video, Jens! Your scratchbuilding prowess never ceases to amaze. The scratchbuilt ammo box cradle turned out great. Your .50 looks way, way better than the stock kit .50. Well done!.

Thank you so much, Brett! I was able to improve these skills a lot by taking a real close look at the few PE frets I've got and how those parts are made to make them bendable. Sometimes you can learn from your worst enemy, hahaha! The video was a bit on the long side, but I wasn't able to explain this in a shorter way. :)

Thanks a lot, Mark! Since you watched Dan's video, too, you already know that the kit can be a PITA, but the result is beautiful and deserves all the care Dan and I put into it. :)

Wow, very impressive mate, superb scratch-building as always! Man, I couldn't believe that the Hobby Boss kit from 2007 was so poorly detailed and the equivalent of 70mm shorter than the Tamiya version from 1981?! No excuse for that with the more modern machinery and manufacturing methods. Looking forward to seeing your next update! Cheers for now : )
@non-prolific135thscalemode75 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot, Martin. Maybe I wouldn't have noticed it if the details hadn't been that soft. I did have the feeling that something was wrong with it, but without the old Tamiya Browning I'd never found out what it was. This is a very strange kit. Many details are just excellent while others are crap. I know their newer kits are much better, so they really have improved. Nonetheless I'll buy the other HST, too - the one Dan's got. The new update is up and it deals with the running gear. A quarter of an hour only on the running gear! I guess you can imagine that I changed a couple of things, hehehe! I'll take a break on the weekend, because I don't have internet down the cellar, but I enjoyed the many hours at the bench very much after almost seven months without any bench time. Talk to you soon. Cheers :)

You should try mini arts new Browning MG set it has everything in it and all stunning! Choose to use PE or plastic for the ammo box carriers and there the 30.cals in the set too the detail in them are just beautiful I have one sitting on its bipod built up really recommended!
@MrBMBuilder6 жыл бұрын
nice vid and yes sometimes those PE kits cause more hassle than they are worth sometimes. I do like the barrels and sometimes just pick and choose some items from a PE set
@non-prolific135thscalemode76 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! I agree and I try to scratch build as many items as possible, because I can replicate them till I've got the appearance I was looking for. Some items are impossible to fabricate, so I use PE but not without making sure if the part will be visible on the finished model. I don't care for details only I know about, hehehe.. :)
